4-in-1 Air Nailer/Stapler

By Terry

from Kansas City, MO

In my area, renting this tool for 2 days was just less than the purchase price.
And I got to use a brand new tool, versus a beat up one,

Good for staplering.

By Greg the rookie

I bought this gun thinking I could do the face nailing, stapling, and 1/4 around. The gun works great for stapling, but it is awful for nailing. The nails would bend over and dent the floors, the nails would not go all the way in and I had to use a punch to knock them below the surface. I had to buy a different gun to for face nailing and the 1/4 around.

Excellent Product!!!

By Curtis

This nailer has made our flooring so much easier to install. We are very pleased with it.

Service and delivery comments:

We looked all over town for this type of nailer then called Lumber Liquidators. They waited on us to get there before closing. The Chattanooga store staff were fanatastic!!!

Not recommended as a brad nailer

By Easler24

from Michigan

This worked very well as a stapler for installing engineered flooring in my home. (1/2" thick) I didn't have it jam up at all in the time that I used it, installing around 450 square foot of flooring.

I later tried to use it as a brad nailer to reinstall the base trim that I had removed to install the flooring. It damaged the trim quite a bit when using it. I never could get the air pressure and the depth gauge correctly dialed in to make sure that the trim was not damaged too much. I ended up using another brad nailer to accomplish the task.

If you use strictly as a stapler it will work excellent and I recommend.

Excellent tool at a very reasonable price. I am over half done on a 420 sq ft job without a single jam. The staples are all at the same depth and no adjustments are needed once you get the pressure set.

Worth the money

Pros

  • Accepts 1-12
  • Inexpensive
  • Perfect For Home Handiman

Cons

  • Some Staple Failures

Best Uses

  • Engineered Hardwood

I have used this to install about 250' of 1/2" engineered hardwood so far and the only problem I have run into is that some (very few) staples will get bent over instead of driven all the way in, not often (I think there were 4 total in the second room I did) and I think it was a combination of lower air pressure before my compressor kicked on, the end of a sleeve of staples, and the fact that 1-1/2" staples are the max length. But a simple punch would get the staples far enough in that I could continue with the next run. Other than that, I have not had the gun jam or stick on me whatsoever and the cleat for butting up to the floor is great. I was able to put an entire bedroom down in a day by myself with this gun. I would buy this again if I needed and would recommend it to others. Worth the money and should get me through the rest of my 1200' of flooring for this house and maybe even the one after!

Works great

By Megandaa

Originally we left the store with just our flooring, but after researching more into the installation (we did it ourselves) we quickly realized that this flooring stapler would be the best way to go. It was also recommended to us by the local lumber yard, even though it is a product they don't carry. I went back and got it the following weekend, and it was a great decision. Installation went very smooth, the stapler worked great!

Great little floor nailer

By grnrubi

I purchased this 4-in-1 18G Air Nailer/Stapler to complete several small stair landings. I did not have room to use a full size floor nailer. The gun worked great. Sure beats tring to hand nail or using a regular finish nailer and having all the exposed nails.

I am putting down a engineered hard wood floor 1/2 inch right now. It is the first time that I have done this kind of a job. I am not a beginner in home remodeling so I have worked with air tools before. This tool worked great right out of the box. There is a little pre assembly before you can use it but once that it done you are rocking and rolling. I have had no problems with the tool. Only a few missed positioning's of a staple or two from me not lining things up correctly. So always take care on where you line up the tool before you pull the trigger.
