Lyptus Hardwood is beautiful and comparable to mahogany and cherry in appearance with a fine grain, dramatic figure, and rich color. It is produced from South American Eucalyptus trees. Lyptus is certified as a fully renewable resource, totally obtained from forest plantations; this ensures that the hardwood is fully sustainable and grown in an environmentally responsible manner.

Colonial American homes were built with wooden floors that were sawn using basic hand-held tools. The hand-crafted workmanship that went into those floors can be found in Virginia Millworks handscraped floors.

About Handscraped Flooring:
Handscraped or distressed hardwood floors have a natural worn appearance. They look like floors from the days when floors were finished by hand. This flooring is gently scalloped to create a pleasing texture to the eyes and feet. Minimal distressing allows the natural beauty of this exotic hardwood to remain the of focus of your floor.
Please note this product is a nominal 3/4" thick, but due to its scraping process the thickness may be as thin as 5/8" in the scraped areas.
