- Premium Finish
- 50 Year Warranty

Strand
Twice as hard as oak, strand bamboo is an optimal choice for busy homes when durability is needed to stand up to the wear and tear of family foot traffic, active kids and even pets.

To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure.  This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 50 year warranty.

And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

It's simple...
Eco-Friendly. Beautiful look. Beautiful price.

One is a solid bamboo product, while the other is "engineered/ply layers".

This a 1/2" thick "solid" bamboo product (no veneers).
Our Bamboo floors are factory pre-finished with a proprietary formula of aluminum oxide and urethane using a multi-step application process. The application is typically performed in a six step process and is hard-cured using ultraviolet (UV) light.

  • Q:

Is this product recommended for use in a bathroom? What kinds of problems would you run into if used in a bathroom which would have higher moisture?
    Asked on 10/29/2016 by Tyler

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

      It is not!
      Water/Moisture
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered, porcelain, or Tranquility vinyl products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern.
Being a natural product it will be subject to the effects of temperature and humidity. If proper heat and humidity levels are not maintained your flooring may shift, shrink, expand, gap or buckle. Thank you for your inquiry.
