Virginia Mill Works Engineered 1/2" x 4"/5"/6" Arezzo Hickory Handscraped |
|
|
Colonial American homes were built with wooden floors that were sawn using basic hand-held tools. The hand-crafted workmanship that went into those floors can be found in Virginia Mill Works handscraped floors. This is a random width product and therefore features 3 widths in the box (4", 5", 6"). The box contains random lengths between 3/4"-82-5/8". About Engineered: A birthday cake without frosting? We used this flooring to replace glue down hardwood floors that were damaged in a water loss, on the downstairs floor. The wood was so amazing at the local San Antonio, TX store, I went ahead and purchased enough to redo the kitchen tile to all wood for a seamless look...and I AM SO GLAD I DID! We were looking at a lower price point engineered flooring at the store but they were out of stock...we went up in our budget and every penny was worth it. The floors have that wow factor and our installation husband and wife team fell in love with it! So much that she wants to pull her tile up and put something like this down in her home! All my husband's friends, think it's just great and have asked for their wives to look at it in our home. I'm so excited about it! With four kids, 2 huge dogs and 2 cats, clean up is a breeze, scuffs and marks are a thing of the past and any that is significant is just character to the distressed and handscraped planks.
The guys here in San Antonio are so great to work with and I bought with confidence and ease. We needed wood asap to start the project the very next day and Lumber Liquidators came through for us!

The floor went down easy...just have to make sure you get started straight and square and keep it that way. We installed about 1200 sq/ft. Our entire 1st floor. Kitchen, dining room, living room and family room. Made the whole house look much bigger.

Just installed this product. Very beautiful wood. The different sized planks add a great floor pattern. Installed in major living areas of our home and could not not be happier. This dark wood flooring has several different grain variations and color contrasts that enhance the overall look of the flooring. The satin finish is perfect for our lifestyle and home decor. Great product and great buying experience with Lumber Liquidators.

Can it be refinished? How many times?1 answer
A:
Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the veneer of the wood flooring. The thickness of the veneer and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. Low profile solid wood flooring like 5/16” thick flooring may be able to be refinished twice if the flooring is in good shape. Engineered flooring with a 1/8” wear layer or more will be able to be refinished at least once. If the engineered product has a 1/16” wear layer a professional sander may be able to refinish it, but many won’t take the chance in case they make a mistake and take too much off the wear layer. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring.Q:
