  Bamboo flooring can qualify for LEED points as a rapidly renewable resource (Worth 1 point under LEED Credit Area “Materials and Resources” #6).
  
  LEED Certifies Buildings, not Products
  
  A common mistake made by product manufacturers and others is to say that their product is “LEED certified.” There is no such thing as a LEED-certified product because LEED only certifies buildings. It is more accurate to say that a product is LEED compliant, meets LEED credit requirements, or contributes towards earning one or more LEED points.

Can these treads be stained to match a dark strand bamboo that we want to use for our flooring?

  This is a prefinished product (not raw) and would require sanding off the old finish and then staining to match your flooring which can prove to be difficult. Depending on the bamboo flooring you are trying to match we may be able to order matching treads for you.

Is this product meant to be used with a nose, or by itself? The photo looks like one edge of it is flat (to go against the riser) but the other edge is rounded (as if it had a nose built-in).

  This does not require an additional nosing (it has a nose built-in).
