I installed this bull nose to finish a bamboo window ledge. It looks great and was easy to work with. The only thing I'd note is that usually when you buy wood you expect a (possibly wide) variation in coloring/tone. That can be true with these sticks but if you look at the production date on the individual boxes you can get an exact and uniform color match. At first I ended up with sticks from two different dates and the differences were very significant. Yet totally uniform within a given date.

after installing strand bamboo on my floors I found it hard to justify spending so much on strand trends as they only come in 48 inches and my stairs are 34. These trends look great and are 36 inches, but I have 2 large dogs that have already scrathed them badly and I even put 2 coats of poly on them. Kicking myself to an extent, but they do look good and I recently bought stairs carpets...

I am building a complete new home. With a ballroom in the upstairs. The general flooring went in well (see review) and the stair nose is very good for what it is, but inlayed, pieced stairs are a BIG TEDIOUS job! The stair nose fits well into the alternate color boards with minimal gapping and warping. Probably as little as can be expected for a natural product, but the tolerances for this sort of project are very narrow, so, as well made as this product is, it is still a difficult project. My brother, who does this professionally, is doing this for me and has spent an entire man-week on 8 stairs. I thought the price for the custom solid treads seemed high, but maybe not when you consider the time. However, the custom treads apparently do not offer a "return" -- the bit of the stair that runs 90 degrees to the stair to wrap the open side edge, and duel colors cannot be incorporated into the solid tread. All that said it's TOTALLY worth it!! If you are willing to put the time in for this outcome (see photo)I do recommend this product
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The bamboo stair nose piece look great on my stairs. I used Bostik Best to glue them with bamboo flooring over my existing stairs. I also used the bamboo reducers to add detail to the stair risers.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
