Comments about 7/8" x 2 1/16" x 6LFT Bamboo Threshold:
We were able to use the pieces but it was very frustrating because they were damaged.
Looks good once installed.
Service and delivery comments:
We ordered two pieces in case one was damaged. Both came damaged - one was split down 3/4 of the 6 foot length. The other was cracked down a 1/3 of the length. We made it work but it was frustrating.

Comments about 7/8" x 2 1/16" x 6LFT Bamboo Threshold:
This was the best match for the bamboo flooring that I ordered. While it wasn't a perfect match, it looks appropriate.
The nice thing about this product is that the overhang leaves room for the floor to expand and contract. Previously I tried a transition strip without an overhang and butted the flooring a 1/4" away from the transition strip. When the wood expanded in the summer, it caused the floor to rub against the transition strip and squeak.

Comments about 7/8" x 2 1/16" x 6LFT Bamboo Threshold:
Since the threshold is of a different lot than the flooring, it does not produce a perfect match to the flooring. Not a big deal, but if you are doing work for a picky client, they may not accept the job.

Q:
Is Bamboo intended for outside use, such as around tile on an outside kitchen/bar? Oak is more money. I need 120'1 answer
A:
I am sorry, the flooring we retail is only recommended for indoor use, while there have been several instances the floors have been used outside after treated for such use this will void any warranty on the flooringQ:
does this goes near sliding doors?1 answer
A:
Yes this can be installed up to sliding doors.Q:
I need to go from the bamboo flooring to carpet. Do I use the t molding for that?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
A reducer might work better. For ideas and details type "transition" here - www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101Q:
Do you have more specific dimensions of this product? I assume 7/8" is the overall height and 2 1/16" is the overall width, but I am looking for the overlap height and width?1 answer
A:
Yes you are correct. The portion that rest on the subfloor is 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick.Q:
How do you install this? Which side toward tile?1 answer
A:
The thicker part of the threshold will usually but up against the tile (may need to shim up with stock material) and the thinner portion will over lap the bamboo and cover the expansion space.Q:
The write up on this product say it's used to transition from the wood floor to a higher surface. I'm trying to do just the opposite. I need to go from the higher Natural Bamboo floor to the lower tile floor. Can I do this with this product? I have the T-molding but it's not working too good.1 answer
A:
Yes this could be used for your application and depending on the height difference a reducer may work also.
