Comments about 48" Bamboo Vertical Carbonized Tread:
These stairs are wonderful if the stair is bordered by walls on either side. But if you want a more finished look on stairs which have exposed sides, there is no option for bullnosing. The bullnose that is made in the same material is not thick enough for a stair tread.

Q:
Can these stair treads/risers be stained to match my flooring?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No, these are refinished. You would have to sand the finish off and experiment with stain. All surface finishes have been used successfully with bamboo. Darker colors will tend to show overlap marks. (NWFA) National Wood Flooring AssociationQ:
Is there a specification sheet to show that these are structurally strong enough.?1 answer
A:
Unfortunately not. One inch thick solid stair treads are standard in the industry.Q:

A:
Each tread weighs approx. 3lbs.Q:
where can I find the correct return tread for these stair treads? I have exposed stairs so they need to have a finished edge on both sides.1 answer

A:
I would use a matching stair nosing and flooring to cover the landings.Q:
Can you bull nose the edge that does not go against a wall with a router? Also, would bamboo be good to use in a condo located on the beach?1 answer

Machining bamboo can be done but it being a natural material it can be tricky to achieve good results. Routered pieces may be fuzzy. This can be sanded and finished with water-based flooring grade urethane. Experiment before committing.Q:
