We put this floor down in our dining room and it is absolutely stunning. I wasn't sure if the look was going to be formal enough, but it is....The floor is breathtaking.

Generally hardwood flooring is not suitable for basement installation. Engineered flooring is a better choice, however If you use ELASTILON - Self Adhesive Underlayment as your installation system you can install either solid or engineered. Is this good over Radiant heat?1 answer

Unfortunately Birdseye Maple is not, being 20% less stable than Red Oak (the standard) it would not perform well over radiant heat.Q:
