I would not buy this product again

We bought enough to do our entire house, so far we have done a formal front room, 2 kids bedrooms and an office. In the front room we never go in it and dont have any furniture in it and already the flooring has chipped. We were hoping to put a pool table in the room but now have to remove all of the laminate and pick another flooring because I dont think it will withstand the weight of a pool table or frequent use of the room. The boards are difficult to lock and dont stay in place. We have had the flooring installed for a year and we are making plans to tear it up and replace it. Im also stuck with 850 sq ft that we arent going to intall because its such a poor quality. We got it dirt cheap so I had low expectations but it is defiently not worth the time and work installing it when it doesnt even last a year.

We decided to put this flooring in our newest rental and were a little apprehensive since it was so cheap but it was a GREAT decision! A few pieces were damaged on the corners but we just cut the ends off and used them in a closet. I am planning on purchasing more for our next rental. It is very thin so you have to be careful laying the floor but it's worth the extra care. Looks much more upscale than the normal laminate we use in our rentals (more blonde looking).

This product is in my in-home classroom currently as well as getting ready to be used throughout my house, other than kitchen, dining room and bathrooms! I love the look for the product and it goes well with many different colors in my home. Very happy with my purchase and looking forward to seeing it all finished throughout the house.

The service was great. When I placed the order the price was .49 sq.ft while waiting for the delivery the item went on sale for .29 sq. ft. I contact lumber luiqidator and the did a refund for the difference in price.

I was looking for an alternative to carpet since I have 3 dogs that stay inaide. And with carpet smells are absorbed easily. Saw the price of .49 a sq ft and bought for the front room. It was a breeze to put down. At first I had help. But once I got the hang of it I was able to lay on my own. I had boxes left over from the front room and used the remaining boxes in one of the bedrooms with hopes to order more. Well with the price jump I will be ordering a different kind. Back on subject the floor looks amazing and I have been receiving alot of compliments on the color of it. Not to dark and not to light.

I bought this product to replace two basement bedroom carpets which had got wet during a flooding issue we had here in SE Michigan. I used the 6 mil blue sheeting over bare concrete, then added the Quiet Walk padding and then the flooring. So far so good. Looks great and seems like it will be durable.
It snaps together fairly easily. I used a circular saw and had no issues even on long cuts, no splintering.
Another flood would probably ruin this floor since the laminate is bonded to 6mm thick wood. But 1. Floods from rain only happen every 100 years or so around here and 2. The cost (0.49 /sq. ft.). We used it instead of the much more expensive water resistance stuff. The first bedroom I did at 10 X 12 only cost about $60 for the flooring itself.
Normal spills on the floor should be no issue if cleaned up quickly since the vinyl laminate is a very hard coating and the seams are fairly tight.

Yes, any floating floor can be installed over particle board. This flooring will need padded underlayment over your particle board subfloor.

We just removed sticky tiles from a subfloor and there is a small amount of glue left over on the surface and not 100% smooth. If we add padding and then the flooring on top of it, will it work on the existing subfloor?

I have an existing carpet that I am removing in my bedrooms. I am contemplating installing this laminate over the existing carpet padding, since I believe it may have been adhered to the plywood subfloor. Will this laminate flooring product be supported by the padding alone, or do I need to remove the padding as well and install the new flooring directly on the plywood?

                                        A:

Carpet and pad needs to be removed for floating flooring installation because the locking mechanism will fail if not on a solid subfloor surface. Padded Underlayment is not the same as carpet padding. It has more compression strength so the floating floor joints will be supported. See our underlayment overview and details, type "underlayment" here - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/flooring/Flooring101 and see the Underlayment Guide

I am interested in this product, but have a few concerns. We are looking for a temporary solution for our basement flooring, until our children are older and we can commit to a more substantial, long-term flooring solution. My questions:

                                      1. Can this product be installed over the Dri-Core panels, which themselves have been laid over a dry, fully-cured concrete, below grade floor? Is the underlayment still necessary in that application?

                                      2. What is the durability of the product? 6mm is thin and I worry that it will be easily damaged by daily use of a family of five with young children.

Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.
                                        2. Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
