  • Q:

I have a 190 sf room that slopes about 2 inches from one side to the other. How do you mix pea gravel with the self leveling concrete so I don't need to use 30-35 bags.

How much gravel can I add. Do I put the gravel on the floor and pour over it or do I mix it in with the self leveling concrete.

      A:

For deep pours that require an increase in elevation
from 1" to 5", SL-150 should be reinforced with clean dry pea
gravel having an average diameter of 1/8" -3/8". Pea gravel
should be mixed at 15 lbs. per 50 lb. bag of SL-150. Additional
patching or smoothing may be required if pea
gravel is added to the mix.

How thick can this product be built up? Can it be used to level a slab where the fall was supposed to be 1/2 inch per 10 feet but it is 1 1/2 inch per 10 feet? The area would be approximately 8' x 8 '.

Full "detailed" instructions come on each bag:
      MIXING
Mix 51⁄2 quarts of water per 50 lb. bag of SL-150. Always measure
the water added. Do not mix by feel. Always add powder
to the liquid. Mix with a high-powered drill at 500-1000 rpms
using a "Wagman WMP-30" or other appropriate mixing paddle.
Mix to a liquid, creamy, lump free consistency. Spread as quickly
as possible.
