NIRVANA by Dream Home- 8mm Brazilian Cherry Laminate Flooring- 25 Year Warranty

Dream Home's Nirvana line of laminate floors will fill your home with harmonious style.
Nirvana Laminate Flooring StructureThis product has it all: an 8mm moisture-resistant core PLUS a 3mm pre-glued sound-proofing foam underlay, the feel of real wood grain and a 25 year warranty.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Designed for glue-less laying, and must be laid as a "floating floor".
- Subfloor must be clean, flat, smooth, and level.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of Bellawood Platinum, Bellawood Premium, Quiet Walk or the Eco Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments offer best joint/seam support while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities, these properties are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

NIRVANA Flooring Advantages:
- Real wood grain
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 8mm + 3mm pre-glued underlayment

Looks Nice But NOT With Pets

            • Replace Ugly Carpeting

Install and appearance exceeded expectation. It looks nice but took one day for my dog to have an accident on it. Urine seeps between the grooves and the laminate bubbles and peels within 30 minutes (per manufacturers comments). Wish someone had warned me about using any laminate with this possibility. Replacing the effected boards now will be a costly repair. I am not upset with Lumber Liquidators. They are not mind readers to alert me about this possibility...So consider yourself warned. It is not just this brand of laminate. I am told that ALL laminates are subject to quick damage from pet accidents if not quickly noticed.

Was able to use the damaged pieces as cuts on the ends. Expect about 7-10% waste. Still a nice product and is easy to keep clean. Does not scratch easily. Used in medical office. Use hard floor pads under rolling chairs.

It went together pretty well. Was pretty solid and didn't chip if you didn't hit it square. Put this in one childs room and a more expensive type in other childs room (their choices). This one was easier to get together and I feel is a more solid fit overall. This was my 1st laminate floor installation.

                    very difficult to install

By Jack of all trades, master of none

                      Cons

                        Best Uses

Installed 3 rooms and a hall. Pieces would click together butwould not lay flat unless pressure or weight was put on to get the long edge joint to close and force the pieces to lay flat. Wound up using screws to temporarily hold the first course in position so that long edge joints could be properly closed on the following courses. The inability to get the pieces to lay flat after clicking the long edge joints made installation difficult and frustrating. Often times the long edge joints would click together if the piece being installed was held at a 30 degree angle to the pieces already installed but then come apart when adding more pieces.

                              A:

                              What is an AC rating?
The common term used to denote the durability level of laminate flooring is its, Abrasion Criteria or “AC” rating. AC ratings are an abbreviated representation of a laminate’s overlay film resistance to abrasion, impact, stains and cigarette burns. The ratings also indicate that the product has been tested for the effects of furniture legs, castors, and swelling along its edges. When a laminate flooring product has a rating, then it has passed all of the test criteria. Failing just one test will disqualify a product.
The AC rating levels are designated AC1 through AC5. Each is represented by international pictographs reflecting the product’s application and durability. The primary application is divided into two groups: residential and commercial. Each group is further divided into traffic intensity levels: moderate, general, or heavy. An AC1 rating which is the lowest should only be used in light-traffic area’s. At the other end of the scale is AC5 which is produced for the commercial market and for use in very high-traffic area’s. A laminate flooring rating of AC2 or AC3 is found on flooring tailored to the domestic and residential market. As can be seen, Laminate ratings are beneficial to customers for product comparison shopping. If you are tempted by some very cheap laminate flooring, be cautious, you may find that it hasn't received any type of AC rating indicating it failed to meet the minimum requirements. During product testing, if it fails on just one single test, then approval for that laminate flooring rating is denied. For residential use, a rating of AC3 is perfectly adequate. Typically the higher the laminate flooring rating, the higher the price may be. The test devised for abrasion resistance. Thank you for your inquiry.

Here is an example of a typical 12’x10’ room
1st) Measure the rooms Length x width
                              (12’x10’)= 120’ sq ft area
2nd) Add *waste percentage to allow for cutting and board selection
                              (120’sqft area + *10% waste) or (120’x10%) = an additional 12 sq ft, for a total of 132sq ft.
3rd) Next round up the total to nearest full box.

                              A:

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

This is not a high gloss but more of a semi-gloss.

Laminate flooring requires dry basements. Flooding will destroy any wood laminate or bamboo flooring. Always follow manufacturers recommendations.
