Comments about 48" Brazilian Cherry Lite Tread:
Recently completed installation of 1,100 square feet of 3/4" Brazilian Cherry Lite flooring and redid my stair case with the matching treads. The finished job is great and makes our gameroom / library look outstanding. No real installation problems. This summer / fall I will be installing another 1100 plus square feet to finish another section of my house. This flooring adds real value to homes. Its not like the laminates and engineered floors that gives you the feeling it is a consumbale this is a life long type of floor. 20 or 30 years from now someone will walk into the room and say this is nice. Having a hardtime deciding on area rugs.

Q:What type of finish? good enough for 2 small dogs?
A:Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
Q:Could you please tell me the dimensions of the maple quarter-round?
A:Quarter Round Molding that we carry is all 3/4" x 3/4"
Q:We have a second level concrete floor . Is ist best to glue orfloat the floor. 3/4 X 5 maple
A:We do not recommend either when over concrete. You can however use Elastilon as your installation system to achieve this. Elastilon Self Adhesive Underlayment is a good option for any flat subfloor. You can use up to 3/4" thick or thinner solid or tongue and groove engineered flooring (works best with 1/2" or thicker). Floating with Elastilon needs to have an expansion break for spans over 33' on it's width, but not length.
A:All pre-finished flooring has a micro-bevel.
Q:I have this is my kitchen(prefinished maple)and I am really tired of it;(.I have had it for a verrrry long time) Is it possible to sand this down and stained a darker color?Any other options? Thanks
A:Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the veneer of the wood flooring. The thickness of the veneer and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:I read that the length of this wood ranges from 1' to 7', but what is the average length?
A:the lengths will vary from box to box so on average the lengths would be 4' long but each box is based on square footage not board lengths, sorry
Q:Can this be installed on above grade concrete?
A:This is a solid 3/4" product designed to be nailed to a wood substrate.
Q:Is this only finished in the US or manufactured? If it is not then do you have any hardwood or laminate that is manyfactured in the USA?
A:Maple is harvested and manufactured in the US, the finish is also a product of the USA. The finishing process of this material is performed in Virginia
Q:Some reviews imply that this is tongue and groove. Is that true?
A:That is a true statement, this material is a tongue and groove
Q:can you use the double sided tape to install this flooring at grade level?
A:The 3/4" products are designed as a naildown product only. However there is a product called Elastilon that will allow the floor to be installed over concrete or withouth using nails or glue.
