Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 5" Brazilian Cherry:
The wood is beautiful. However, when the label on each bundle states 5" wide, I expect every plank to be 5" wide. I ordered 23 bundles of flooring, I had widths of 4 3/4, 4/13/16, 4 7/8 and 4 15/16! Different widths within the same bundle. I checked all my labels and they were all milled on the same day in the same lot, so why all the diffferences? It made the installation process much longer as I has to measure each board as I took it out of the bundle and make stacks of different widths to use when making a run of flooring. WE got it done but it was dissappointing that we had so many widths to deal with.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 5" Brazilian Cherry:
I installed about 200 sq. ft. of 5" unfinished brazilian cherry. I noticed many of the pieces were not milled the same so I had some gaps.
I ended up purchasing some more expensive brazilian cherry and every piece was milled correctly. No gaps on the more expensive flooring. You get what you pay for.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 5" Brazilian Cherry:
I installed this wood in 2 rooms with a very skilled carpenter. It's a beautiful wood that offers a great deal of flexibility. It can be dressed up to look very pristine or classy, or you can create a rustic look.
It went down incredibly well given the size of the project - hardly any challenges. It will add room/house value above and beyond the name, "brazillian cherry." Visually, it takes the look of a room to another level.

Comments about R.L. Colston 3/4" x 5" Brazilian Cherry:
I have used this species of flooring before, but never in the quality of yours. The wood was virtuously knot and blemish free. The best milling of tongue and grooving I've ever seen. Each board was precision cut to width. As a result, it intalled perfectly, which will only require a light sanding at most. As a result, the customer had us do every room in the house.
I can't wait to see it finished!

what range of board sizes (average length) can I expect with an order over 1000 SF? Is it possible to request minimum board lengths, and is there an upcharge for this?1 answer

This is a random length natural wood product that comes in 1' to 7' lengths with the average board 4'-5' being about 4' long.Q:

Can this product stand up to a St. Bernard dog? If not, what hardwood flooring can?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It's a very hard wood, 82% harder than Red Oak, so it doesn't dent easily. However dark floors show urethane finish scratches easier than light. Penetrating oils like Waterlox may work better. Prefinished flooring generally stands up to scratches better because of the aluminum oxide finish and UV light curing.Q:
