Wood floors and water don't mix. But, Schön Engineered Floors are a perfect match for all areas of the home including those with a higher moisture content like: basements, bathrooms, kitchens, concrete sub-floors, and below grade installation. Quick Highlights: This product is also a good choice for installation over radiant heat sources and below grade applications. About Brazilian Cherry: About Engineered Flooring: Want more? Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
I love the look of the product and the feel. Have only had it installed a few days so can't comment on the durability. We had it installed by a professional who made it look easy. Took a three man crew less than 4 hours start to finish.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
The product was well milled. All lengths were straight with no culling necessary. The shortest length was 2:1 over all other lengths, meaning for every longer board two of the shortest boards had to be laid. What that means to the installer is two short boards and a longer board and then two short board and another longer board OR a varitey of longer lengths and then a PILE of shortest board end to end. Schon needs to rethink its length variety ratio.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
This is the first nail down floor I have installed, it was very easy using a brad nailer and 1" nails. We removed existing carpeting and were able to nail directly to the 3/4" subfloor, using the Eco Silent underlayment. Good service and advice from our local Lumber Liquidators store.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
I'm very pleased with our decision to use Lumber Liquidators for our flooring. The Schon flooring has been easy to install, even for a beginner, and was considerably less expensive than comparable products from the big box stores. It looks great and seems to have a very durable finish.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
I do not know how this floor will hold up over time. I am one person without children and so far it looks beautiful-- easy to clean and unbelieveably shiny surface. i was at the home of a friend who had put down a different engineered hardwood in the same color their floor was dull - no shine and they complained about upkeep since all footsteps made marks. so far, i am very satisfied.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
We selected this product for it's appearence and the ease of care. This was our first time to lay hardwood flooring. While it does take time and patience, with a little research and some helpful suggestions from the folks at LL, we now have a beautiful floor in our kitchen, dinning room, hallway, living room and entry way. Thanks LL!

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
Our installer likes this product and never has any complaints about installation. This is our second purchase of this same product. Initially we did the whole house (except kitchen and master.) This time we completed the master. It was scary when the floor went in because the colors hadn't "ripened" on the new boards. It was significantly/noticably different. However, it's less than a week and they're already coming together. This is a beautiful cherry flooring and great for large open/great room areas, as well as small office space (8x10.)

Have received lots of positive feedback on the look of the floor. Always asked where I bought the flooring. I think people are surprised that LL floors are so beautiful.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
We had this floor installed professionally in December and it is beautiful! We have it in bedrooms, living and dining rooms, and a den. I have not found that is scratches easily and I do not ask guests to remove shoes. We also have a 16 lb. dog and she has not scratched it either. I did drop a hammer on it and it left a dent, but I was able to disguise the mark with the wax fill stick that comes with the Bella floor care kit. I am currently planning on doing 2 more bedrooms with this floor. The cherry does darken with light exposure so I am repositioning rugs to help it age evenly.

Comments about Schön Engineered 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Cherry:
We recently installed a engineered wood floor made by a different manufacturer. The floor did nothing for the house. So we removed the other floor and put in this one. The difference is amazing. This floor is beautiful and I am so happy that we made the change. It really is upscale and makes the house look a lot more elegant. We also have 2 dogs and after three weeks have seen no scratches. Love the floor.
