Finished to Last. We apply our durable, industry-leading finish to each board using a groundbreaking multi-layered, micro-particle process for superior wear and scratch resistance. So, go ahead—bring on life and everything that comes with it. Your Bellawood floor will stay beautiful year after year. One look and it's easy to see why Brazilian Koa is often called Tigerwood. Its distinctive orange coloring and brown/black striping make it one of the most unique and exotic species available on the market today. And its durability is simply outstanding, resulting in a "not-so-everyday" floor that will stand up year after year to life's everyday demands. We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.) About "Select Grade" Flooring It Taber Tested "the Best." When subjected to the industry sandpaper abrasion test, known as Taber Testing, Bellawood's durability results were more than double most comparably priced floors. There's good, there's better—and then there's Bellawood.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
I fell in love with the attractivenss of this floor, but became easily disappointed shortly after installation. We have an open floor plan on the 1st floor and utilized this floor throughout the dining room, living room, and hallway. Within 2 months, there were scratches everywhere from our 2 medium sized dogs. We spent a lot of money for something to scratch so quickly! Rather disappointed!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
We installed your Koa in our living room a couple of years ago, and I was very pleased with the look. Then we decided to add on to the existing house. We doubled the size of the living room, and this is our second order of Koa. The existing Koa has been tramped over by all the contractor's workers. We live in a sandy area, so you can imagine the beating it has taken.....drywallers, electricians, plumbers, HVACers, framers...plus some areas of the house were open and allowed dampness and humidity to enter. The Koa took all this and looks just as great as it did when it first made me smile! Amazing and very, very classy!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
Have installed this wood in every room in the home except kitchen, bathrooms, and sunroom. It looks beautiful and easy to clean. Color darkens over time making it even more rich and warm. Just finished my final bedroom with this product. It took me 5yrs to complete by doing one room at a time as I could afford. It was worth every penny.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
During a kitchen remodel, we installed this flooring over our entire 1st floor, and it looked absolutely beautiful! As it ages, the color darkens and becomes richer. However, as soon as it was down, I noticed areas of the boards where the finish did not seem to make it to the edges. There were also boards with marks already in the finish. After only one year, the marks in it are incredible. It is advertised as being harder than oak, but my oak floors looked better after 15 years than this does after only one. There is already a hunk that popped off an edge of one of the floorboards, so now I have a missing piece to my wood. Even with felt protectors on the bottoms, there are "dig" marks from my kitchen stools. Anything and everything moved over this wood leaves a mark/scratch/dig into the wood. Beautiful, yes; durable, absolutely not. Thousands of dollars later, and I'm very disappointed.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
My brother, a construction professional, installed this floor for us. It took him a day and a half to do this small (11x11) room, but he also went slowly and artistically, pulled the most beautiful pieces from the boxes and planned how he wanted the floor to look. We had to go back and buy an extra box, because the store estimated we only needed 5% over the measurements rather than the standard, 20% more than measured area. We needed every bit of the extra, but it was worth it!
Also, installing the 2 1/4-inch planks takes much longer than installing a wider plank. The thinner planks, however, give the room a more formal feel.
This is a dining room, but right now it's still empty so that I can look at the beauty every day. :)
We also have dogs, and just to be safe and protect the floor, we restrict their access to this room. As the dogs get accustomed to the difference in the floor, we'll give them more privileges. So far there are no scratches or dings.
Hope to extend the Brazilian Koa into our large family room, but I would use the wider planks.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
A very beautiful elegant looking floor, looks very high quality at the beginning. Only problem I have is after about a year mine seems to have developed a "film" over the finish that dulls the rich look. I use the bellawood cleaner and mop and tried others as well, but wind up with a smeary smudgy filmy look. Made mistake of putting in my huge den where everyone comes in. Try to keep the soft lights only on so that the smudgy look isn't so obvious.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Brazilian Koa:
I love this flooring as far as beauty. The installer actually said this was the most beautiful flooring he'd seen and ordered some for his own residence.
My issue is my flooring always looks dirty; it picks up footprints (oil off feet), etc... and shows everything. I have had oak hardwood before and never had this issue. I clean this floor weekly. I have wondered if anyone else has had this issue.
