Comments about Prefinished Brazilian Koa T-Molding:
Layed this floor with the help of my uncle and installation was pretty simple. I highly recommend getting the kit LL sales that has the spacers, pulling tool and tapping block. Made the work much easier. I would caution to be very careful while tapping the planks in place. I ruined a couple planks on the corners by either tapping too hard or not positioning the block well. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my floor & the service I received at the West Chester store

nice product, looks great and matches floor well. It could be about a 1/2" wider and come in 8-10' pieces, would be nicer and result in less waste for customer

Q:
I will be installling the Brazilian Koa in a long room, 40 feet. I understand I need an expansion joint to avoid runs over 27 feet. Do I use the T-molding? Also how much spacing do I leave for the expansion joint for 12 mm laminate?1 answer
A:
Yes T-molding is the way to cover the extra expansion space.Q:
What is the required distance between the sub-floor where the track lies to the top of the finished floor? Does the molding snap into the track from the top, ie, push it down?1 answer
A:
It depends on the thickness of your laminate.Q:
How is the metal track and shim installed on the track?1 answer
A:
The track will get secured with screws to the subfloor first and then the T molding will snap into the track.Q:
what are the dimensions of this molding?1 answer
A:
The T-molding is 1 5/8"W x 1/2"H plus the track
