Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
I put this in all my bedrooms & office, and I've lived with it for several months. The truth is this: It is a beautiful floor. Compliments galore. It ties various wood grains and colors together perfectly. It doesn't sound cheap when walking on it like some click laminate floors do. However, the color fades under a solid piece of furniture like a filing cabinet or bookshelf. If the furniture has feet this does not happen. At first I thought it was from the sun coming in but then realized it only happens under a solid bottom piece. You can see a perfect ligher shade rectangle where this furniture once stood, so beware. Also, my 11 month old has scuffed the floor in my bedroom pushing his toys along the floor. I wouldn't call them outright scratches, more permanent scuff marks. You can only see them at a certain angle in the light, but they are there none the less. I haven't tried polish to remove them yet. What's weird is my husband's office chair on wheels has not scuffed the office floor which is good, weird news. Overall, it's a good looking floor, but you should know what to expect.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
..very beautiful flooring no doubt about that (i used the 4 3/4" planks). The pics online don't do it justice. I took extra time to hand pick each board into position so that the colors would flow the way i wanted them to. The only concern is scratches. I wouldn't put this in a kitchen or dining room because i scratched my floor just carefully moving furniture back into place after the install....the scratches are minor..i can only see them when i'm a foot or two away from the floor...no one else would ever notice... If you put this in a kitchen or dining room i would be concerned about dropping a fork or something or antyhing...if you do, there's a good chance that this floor is going to get marked up in some form or fashion...maybe that's just wood flooring though...i don't think i've ever seen a wood floor without scratches, etc unless it was brand new...my guess is that this floor wouldn't stand up very well to the abuse of kids and a high traffic area...that's just a guess though...that's why i would recommend it for a living room or an adult bedroom...beautiful colors and patterns in the wood...easy to install...

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
This is the second time I have used this product. Did a bedroom a year ago to see how it went. THe build quality is very high. Only one single board in 14 boxes had a flaw. Very easy to install. Installed on a concrete floor with a vapor barrier and an underlayment. Boards come in varying lengths which allows installation with fewer cuts. The waste was under 3% for over 400 square feet of flooring.
The boards come in a variety of shades and colorings, which we love. Looking forward to years of use.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
I was a bit skeptical at first about the schon quick click being as easy to install as the nailable types of wood flooring. But after laying it in the first room, I was sold on it. It looks fabulous and it is very easy to install. The underlayment is definitely reccommended with this product. All in all, we love it!

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
The coloring is beautiful and it was easy to put in but it scratches real easily... I have a small dog and 4 kiddos and I scratched real easily from the dogs claws, step stool, laundry hampers, Etc. a few months of having it in; little holes or pits had formed in the floor and there's a white looking scuff or what looks like paint scratched up. I've tried everything to get it up and I can't get it up. I know people try to claim that engineered is just like solid hardwood but you can definatly tell the difference when it's under your feet. I still have my kitchen to do so I think next time I'm going to go with solid hardwood in Bellawoods Brazilian koa.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa:
We installed this flooring in our family room on top of concrete. We had installed a glue down pre-engineered floor in our DR & Kitchen years ago. The click-lock is so much easier! It's not as quiet, but not loud by any means. I don't mind that I hear myself walk on it.

Service and delivery comments:
We had the very best installer ever. He came and measured, explained everything in laymans terms, he was prompt, was there when promised for both the measure and install. He picked up transition pieces from the stores after I had called and purchased them over the phone. He was a pleasure to deal with. When I do my foyer in the spring I WILL be contacting him to do the job. Thanks especially to Eric of the Brewer store for going out of his way to help me with my dilemma, and Bill for being so accommodating. Best people to work with and I so appreciate them! We will be repeat customers!!

Q:
What manufactures cleaning products are recommended for this floor?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
4and 3/4 wide , 31 sf per box , but how long are the pieces?1 answer
A:
This product has random lengths 15-3/4" to 47-1/4".Q:
I have tpo replace the floor on my front screen porch. What kind of would will last the longest. I would like something that is tongue and grove about 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" wide.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Wood flooring is a dynamic material subject to changes in dimension as a result of changes in humidity in the surrounding environment. It is recommended that the rooms that will have refinished wood installed be climate controlled with temperatures of 50 to 80 degrees F., preferably 65 to 75 degrees F. humidity of 35% to 55% maintained. In addition, the rooms should not be closed off from a normal air flow. Therefore with prefinished flooring, you will experience problems in a non-environmentally controlled area. Our most stable flooring is our engineered, bamboo, and laminate. They too recommend climate control in their expressed warranty's.Q:
I already have hardwood floors, can I put this over the existing floor?1 answer
A:
Yes you can.Q:
can HDF flooring be used on concrete slab?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes over fully cured and dry concrete. A 6 to 8 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Overlap seams 4" and tape with duct tape. Overlay perimeter 3-4" up wall. Then lay approved underlayment.Q:
Is this flooring good for a kitchen or bathroom?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Hardwood, engineered, laminate (higher warranty laminate is better in high traffic areas like kitchens), vinyl, cork, and high warranty bamboo (Morning Star) is acceptable for installation in a kitchen, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Like hardwood flooring, spills should be toweled dry promptly.Q:
What do you use to clean this flooring?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.Q:
We were told that the floor would darken or deepen in color over time. When is it safe to put an area rug over a newly installed floor? And what is the best way to clean the floor?1 answer
A:
All wood species can change color over time due to oxidation or when exposed to light. In some species, the change can be more dramatic and may darken in color over time, while others tend to lighten. Currently there is no known value set for Patina or color change of a species so contractors and or customers should be aware of this normal condition. As your floor ages, color or shading called “patina” can occur. This process can be rapid the first 3 months, less in 6 months, then finishing off in about I year. Moving the furniture and rugs around helps to even out areas that were not exposed to light. Try to avoid large area rugs for the first 3 months.Q:
The picture of the "t" molding appears to have a raised, rounded top. How high is this from the flooring? Is this a trip hazard?1 answer
A:
This is approx. 1/4" off the floor and is not usually a tripping concern in most applications.Q:
What gap do I hold 7/16" x 4-3/4" Brazilian Koa by Schön Quick Clic Engineered flooring to on the outside perimeter of the walls?1 answer
A:
A 7/16" gap is required against any vertical obstruction.
