BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Brazilian Redwood Prefinished Solid Hardwood Flooring

Unsurpassed Beauty, Generation after Generation. Each Bellawood Prefinished Hardwood floor now comes with a Certified 100 Year Transferable Warranty. Sure, we know few people stay in their home for a century. But isn't nice to see a company so confident in their flooring's finish they're willing to guarantee it for that long

One of the most dense and durable species available, Brazilian Redwood distinguishes itself with a breathtaking blend of deep reds and golden browns. Its exquisite grain is mostly straight with an occasional and dramatic wavy pattern on select boards. The advantages of Brazilian Redwood are simple. Its durability lets you live life. But its beauty lets you live life luxuriously.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Redwood:

It took me a couple of weekends to complete the work but it was well worth it. We absolutely love the floor. The color was rich and warm. As for the material there were only a few boards out of 750 sqft that couldn't be used. I installed the flooring on the entire main floor except the kitchen and entryway area. I received 3400lbs of flooring material shipped from Seattle. The material showed up with no problems or damage. I installed the flooring on top of a 15lb felt paper. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Service and delivery comments:

I had the flooring shipped to Alaska. It took about 5-6 weeks for the shipment to arrive. The shipment was undamaged. Even with the cost of shipping the material was still half the price of what I could buy it for in Anchorage.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Redwood:

The service at the store was very informative. Was told 7 to 10 days for delivery to store. had to wait 6 weeks. This is the only problem for the whole job. start to finish. In stalled 140 square feet. A very hard wood. Had to use a 18 gauge Powernailer to do the job. Took the advice from the salesman. Worked fine. No waste! I could not believe that 99 % of all the wood was fine. Pieces that were questionable was installed in the closet. I am going to install 620 square feet in my living room and dining room.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Redwood:

These are the most beautiful wood floors I have ever seen!! We are so happy with them!! The color is rich and beautiful. These floors are very durable. We have three dogs (ranging from 45-80 pounds). We still do not have a single scratch on the floor. We went from carpet to this. Such a drastic improvement. My husband installed the floors himself. Although, it was time consuming, he had do problems. It was easy to install. There was a good variation of long and short boards. They were all in perfect shape and there is no gaping or anything in our floor (meaning all boards were consistantly the same width/thickness, ect...). We couldn't be happier. We installed this in our living room, dining room, hallway. We plan to put it in our bedrooms later this year. We absolutely love these floors!! If we were to do it all over again, we would pick the exact same floor!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Brazilian Redwood:

We were worried about this wood having too much variation and looking busy, which it does not. It looks beautiful. We also didn't want it to appear red and although our sample was a bit pink, the wood is gorgeous with a rich deeper color. We were told it would darken substantially. I just love it now whether it darkens or not, and the finish is so durable, we have a dog and she has not made one scratch with her nails yet. Perfect choice. We also had wanted the 5 inch wood planks but this is such a traditional look it will never go out of style.

We saw samples in store but were still very surprised at how much variation there was. A bit much. We bought 12 boxes. I figure we tossed almost a whole box because the wood pattern was not to our liking or the tongue was missing or there were scratches. We worked around these things and ended up having about a half box of good quality left after our job.

Very knowledgeable sales people. The flooring was high quality with an unbeatable price tag. It's nice most products are in-stock. We replaced the wall-to-wall in our master bedroom suite, and it's gorgeous (walk-in closet, adjoining office, and bedroom area). Surprised I could also buy the molding and 1/4 " round to match my flooring!

Beautiful floors! I am so excited with them. I installed these floors in the living room, dining room & hallway. They have a very beautiful brownish red color. There is some variations in the colors of the planks to add for some interest. The boxes came with several different size planks and they fit together very easily. I had them professionally installed and the installation process went very smoothly. They don't scratch easily either. I have a toddler and a rabbit who have found their home playing on the floors. I would definetely recommend this product again.

                    • Q:

I'm choosing between the Brazilian Cherry and this one, Brazillian redwood. I'm trying to match the existing floor iin the house i just purchased which has deep red/dark color, which i like. It has color variations too, which in the picture looks more like the Brazillian redwood. But when i went to the store and showed my the picture of my floor, the rep says it,s definitelya brazillian cherry. The sample floor they have in the store with redwood is more of brown. But i researched and saw pics that the redwood is more of the deep red im looking for to match my current floor. Can someone help me answer if the. Brazillian redwood is more of the red side than just plain darker brown, please. The sample wood they have in the store looks more brown and no hint of red...

Brazilian Cherry can definitely have more browns. Suggest that you look at both online and see Customer Pictures.

Our Bellawood floors are factory pre-finished with an aluminum oxide water-base urethane using a multi-step application process. (8) coats are applied to most domestic and exotic wood species and each coat is hard-cured using Ultraviolet (UV) light. Bellawood pre-finished flooring offers superior wear resistance and is backed by a limited 100-year warranty! (The exact formula is propietary information) The formula for the Bellawood finish is a custom mix that has a 50/50 gloss. The sheen you get is shinier than satin, but not as shiny as semi -gloss.
The average dry film thickness for Bellawood is about 3.65 mils – one of the highest in the industry.

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

It is known that not all wood species are appropriate for radiant heat (RH) installations. Therefore if you prefer to use solid wood for radiant heat applications choose a species known for its *stability. Here in descending order are the best choices for in-floor heating as recommended by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)
Floating wood floors and laminates - Most recommended because these types of floorings are not attached to the subfloor therefore free to move as a total unit to better accommodate for environmental (moisture and temperature) fluctuations
Engineered flooring –Works well over radiant heat because its unique plywood construction creates greater stability as each wood layer is positioned perpendicular to the other thereby resisting movement from environmental fluctuations. (Depending on selection can be nailed, glued or floated to the subflooring)
Solid wood - quarter-sawn or rift-sawn – This cut or style of flooring is most preferable to because it tends to expand more upwards in the direction of the grain with less side to side movement common with plain-sawn cut flooring. In addition, quarter-sawn solid flooring reduces the likelihood of gapping and board edge cupping due to environmental fluctuations.
Solid wood- strip flooring, boards 3” wide and less – A better choice than plank or wider flooring because narrow boards seams will allow for any excessive board movement and will expand and contract less than wide boards. As a general rule, the wider the boards the wider gaps can be.
When choosing to use solid boards or planks wider than 3" make sure the board moisture content is dry to around 6-9% before and maintained well after installation. For any wood application over radiant heat, the newly installed system should be operating some two weeks prior to the floor installation, this precaution helps to further dry out any unknown pockets of trapped moisture. Because of the wide array of systems on the market, each with its own features, please consult with your radiant heat provider for recommended installation methods. Hydronic systems must include in-floor temperature sensors and an outdoor thermostat that allows the system to adjust the water temperature according to anticipated heat loss. Radiant heat contributes to the drying out of all woods. Use of a humidification system may be required to maintain the proper humidity level. The indoor relative humidity must be maintained between 30-50% year round. Failure to do so can result in edge cupping, squeaking delamination, splintering, or face checking. Avoid shock to the floor, Before installation, run new systems to dissipate hidden or trapped moisture. During installation, reduce thermostat to 65°F. 48 hours after installation, slowly raise the temperature of the heating system to its preferred operating level over a period of 5 days. The surface temperature of the subfloor must never exceed 85°F in any location. The temperature setting must always remain within 15°F of normal operating level, and should never be turned completely off. Excessive heat, rapid heating, and/or failure to maintain humidity levels between 30% and 50% is likely to result in cracking, cupping, squeaking and other forms of floor issues. Slight surface splits (checking), particularly at the ends of planks, should be expected with installations over radiant heat and does not constitute a product failure.
*Wood stability refers to predictable movement that can be expected in a given wood species after installation once in service. Note that even when using an ideal species for radiant applications actual wood performance can still vary due to the radiant system construction, it operation and installation techniques.

                        A:

The durability of our Bellawood is higher than any other flooring in the industry which is why we offer a 50 year wear warranty. The expansion and contraction of a floor is based on temparture and humidity in the home. The ideal conditions are between 60 -80 degrees and 30-50% humidity. If these conditions are maintained the floor will stay dormant and not move.
