Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
We had this product installed at the front door, into the formal dining room and kitchen. What a wow factor! It's beautiful, and color goes with any wood you have. It had to be glued down, and we tried doing it ourselves. After a short time we realized having it installed was the way to go. I tried other floor cleaners, but Bona seems to work the best. Any type of mop that allows you to refill the liquid will work. I bought Reveal and love it. Bona does not leave a hazy smear on the flooring. We've gotten many compliments since it was installed.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
This wood looks amazing in my living/dining room (411 sq ft) and is wearing very well after 3 months. I did find that the Bellawood cleaning product was best for cleaning (everything else seemed to smear).
The wait was long -- ordered the wood on 3/26/12, delevered on 5/22/12, installed on 6/2/12.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
Had a Lumber Liquidators contractor install on the entire lower level of my house. Happy with the product and installer. VERY hard, heavy wood. Should hold up for a long time. The weight alone is far more then other species proving its density and durability.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
I needed a product that would work with my eclectic taste. This was the best choice for us; it works with any color of wood, has a beautiful finish that is both traditional and contemporary. It took me a while to figure out how to keep it really clean and dust free but I have so its now very easy. I have two dogs, two young men and my husband. I love not complaining about shoes in the house. The dogs slip but are getting used to it.I plan on using it in the office and the guest room. I had it proffessionaly installed in less than a day.
Service and delivery comments:
I always get good service! I picked it up myself, multiple trips but easy as the guys were great.

I did not install this myself. I have it on my whole lower level and have plans for two bedrooms also. We have received so many compliments! I did not want the red undertone with so many other choices The color variations of the walnut work well with any style, I like to mix/match my woods so it is perfect. My two dogs slip and slide but it's been three months with no scratches by them yet!Love love love it!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
I recently had Bellawood Brazilian Walnut installed in my kitchen and would highly recommend it! It has a beautiful finish and the variations in color compliment my cabinet and countertop selections. This floor is also VERY easy to clean (use the Bellawood cleaner). I also received many compliments from the contractors who did the work in my kitchen.
Service and delivery comments:
My recommendation is to order the floor earlier than you think you will need it! Do not believe the two week timeframe... I waited over four week for transition strips to be delivered from the main warehouse! The installers (LL subcontractors), however, did a very professional job.

We instlled this product in our hallway over concrete. All of the sealers and glues we used worked great with the flooring. It has a beautiful rainbow of colors and is unquestionably the hardest wood I have ever worked with. It looks great and appears to be durable.

Disappointing. The boards were various widths making installation difficult and time consuming in order to get a quality installation.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
patience, patience, patience. You cannot rush this job. First, pre-lay all of the boards you want to glue down at first, this includes cutting. I recommend 8-10 rows. Then pull them up, and lay down the glue ( i used moisture barrier combo, meipei*?). Then lay each board carefully, groove to tongue(tongue is already on the floor, so you put the groove part of the piece you are going to lay into the tongue) as close as you can together, do not lay and push boards together, you will get glue in between cracks and it is a pain to clean. You will need 1 gallon of mineral spirits to help you clean along the way, but spray wood floor cleaner afterwards, do not let it sit, could damage the varnish. Don't forget to leave you gaps at the walls for expansion and watch out for the front door, you need to leave a larger gap for transition piece. I have almost 600sq ft and it is taking forever. I don't have much time so it's whenever i get a free weekend. I don't recommend laying the floor at night, you won't be able to see your mistakes or gaps. I also have to mention, i originally bought the 5/16ths, but it got back ordered like 6 months so i HAD to upgrade to this one. Costed me an extra boat load, but in the end it was worth it. We chose the BW because of the different colors. We don't have furniture yet and so with all the different colors we aren't limited to the kind of wood we choose. We also decided to paint the whole living room too, with vaulted ceilings, but that hasn't started yet. 2 more weekends and im done with the foors. If you pay someone, do not pay more than 2 to 2.75 per sqft to install. Good luck to those ready to take the plunge.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/8" x 3" Brazilian Walnut:
Brazilian Walnut is by far the hardest wood we have ever worked with. In fact, in comparison, red oak is soft! You will burn blades very quickly with this wood, and the splinters are like needles. We have done both the 3/4 and the 3/8. We would never use 3/8 again. It is too thin and the wood cups leaving a wave-y finish. At least with 3/4, you know that it will be there for a long time, but we somehow doubt that with the 3/8. In this application, the customer didn't want the floor to be much higher than the adjoining floor and wanted a more seemless transition. They regret it, as do we. It looks beautiful, it won't scratch as easily and will probably last a while. I would not recommend this to someone who has never installed hardwood floors.

No solids are generally not recommended for basements, engineered floors are more suitable. Exception with solids; Elastilon Self Adhesive Underlayment can be used with solids and engineered below grade.Q:
I have radiate floor heating am I able to lay the Brazilian Walnut by Bellawood on to my floor with no problems?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Brazilian Walnut is around 7% more stable than red oak. Not super stable like some solids and engineered but not bad. Higher the stability rating the better with radiant heat. In addition narrow strip is a better performer than wide strip/boards. This 3" is a good width for stability. For more information on radiant heat type "radiant" here - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101Q:
We are at our wits ends with smudges on this floor. We have used every cleaner including, the LL cleaner to no avail. Floor always appears to have a film on it.1 answer
A:
The first step is to figure out what is causing the flooring to haze. In most cases it is some sort of cleaning product or polish that has built up. If you can find what products were previously used you can contact the manufacture of the cleaning product for the best method of removing it off the floor.
