  • Q:

is it best to nail the center of a strand bamboo t transition or should it be glued? and if glued is the answer, do i glue to the top of the bamboo flooring? or is a thick bead of heavy glue under the center to the sub floor the way to go? also if nailing is the best option, what size nails are recommended?

      A:

I prefer nailing to a wood subfloor, you may need to use a spacer (shim) to accommodate a thicker bamboo for proper support.
Pre-drill and fasten with a 6D finish nail.
      Thank you for writing in.
