Q:We installed a floating floor and there is a 1 1/2 inch difference between our hard wood floor in the adjoining room and the floating floor. What can we use to bridge the difference in the doorway where they meet?
A:A stair nose would be appropriate here. For details type "laminate nose" here - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/flooring/Flooring101
Q:I need a transition strip to go from my new laminate floor to linoleum. There is a 1/4 inch difference in height between the 2. I can only find laminate reducers that are 1/2 inch high. Would they be compatible with the 1/4 inch height difference? Is the 1/2 inch the total height of the piece, or the height difference it would make up for?
A:This laminate reducer can accommodate 1/4" to 1/2" difference between floor surfaces.
Q:My tile / linoleum is on a plywood floor and my carpet is on concrete... will this work to lay pergo flooring in one room with concrete floor to dining room with the plywood floor... the one room is about 3/4 of an inch higher that the room with the concrete..
A:Yes but you will most likely need to fabricate a reducer transition for this 3/4" difference (as the matching reducer can only accomodate 1/2" max).
