I Love This Floor!!

I love the floor. I thought the color would be too dark but I was wrong. It's perfect for the house. I used this product on the entire first floor of my 1938 house. It stays with the character of the house which was really important to me. Installation is a bit tedious but with a little patience for a do-it-yourselfer, it does get finished. And, to look at the finished product and know you did it yourself is quite rewarding. Thanks Lumber Liquidators for being part of my house.

not good when you have kids in the house

I felt this product was the one for my house. they have a 30 year guarantee but the truth is that I can't see how it is going to last that long in my house. I have on 7 year old and a 3 year old. they drop things on the floor all the time, and the wood is very easy to dent. Also my 60 pound dog has scratched it but just standing up quickly. I returned a good portion of the floor after it didn't fit my needs.

We wanted to use this flooring in our dining room foyer, kitchen and living room. We were told it was a hard as the oak fooring we removed (sadly) from our foyer. But no way! When we noticed the poor quality and durabilty (dented if you droped any object & scratched very easily) we decided to cut our losses pay the restocking fee and use as little as we could get away with. It looks great but just not something that will keep its good looks for long.

Looking for an Oak Butterscotch in high gloss. Nothing I see mentions gloss and so far have only been offerd low gloss,
Color matches perfectly existing floor that we want to add to another room. Howver, low gloss or Matte is not compatible. Being told by some that high gloss has been discontinued by the manufacturers.
In particular Bruce. Do you have an Oak Butterscotch high gloss that would be compatible ? Is Schon one of them ?

  The way a floor is treated or maintained can affect its longevity. In addition, there is no relationship between the hardness or denseness of exotic species and its resistance to surface scratches. Wood floor manufactures do not offer warranties of protection against denting or scratches, rather product warranties refer to milling defects and finish wear within specified periods of time.
  
  Wood floors like furniture will scratch and dent if not properly protected. It is recommended to use furniture pads (included in our cleaning kit) under the furniture legs. Pet nails should be kept trimmed and sharp objects (including high heels) kept away from the floor. Often scratches can be adequately repaired using liquid scratch covers. Dents and nicks can be filled using wood floor repair kits available at your local home store. If your floor is severely damaged please consult a professional about refinishing, an individual board replacement may be all that’s needed.

  Butterscotch Oak Stair Nose SKU: 10022868 is laminate, not wood engineered, but it is as close as we have in any Butterscotch.
  
  Note: it may be a shade off.
  
  Option: go with Butterscotch Oak Laminate flooring.
