NIRVANA Plus by Dream Home- 10mm Cambridge Cotton Elm Laminate Flooring- 30 Year Warranty

5.82" (148mm) W x 47.83" (1215mm) L

Dream Home's Nirvana line of laminate floors will fill your home with harmonious style.
Nirvana Laminate Flooring StructureThis product has it all: a 10mm moisture-resistant core PLUS a 2mm pre-glued sound-proofing foam underlay, the feel of real wood grain and a 30 year warranty.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Designed for glue-less laying, and must be laid as a "floating floor".
- Subfloor must be clean, flat, smooth, and level.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

NIRVANA Flooring Advantages:
- Real wood grain
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 10mm + 2mm pre-glued underlayment
- AC Rating: 3
- 30 Year Warranty

Very Nice Product, easy to install

I'm a 48 year old female, experienced hand/power tool user - just so you get a sense of who I am. Installed a 10 x 14 floor w/closet and bump out by door.

I watched the videos and read the instructions. They were okay, but really, it's a matter of getting used to how this particular floor system works. Once I figured out the best way to lock in the boards, it was a breeze.

Some broken ends, but that is to be expected. I just used the damaged boards that wouldn't lock as end pieces.

The guys at LL are very helpful, gave me some useful tips.

Will be installing this flooring in another room.

    Beautiful Flooring!

Bought the Cambridge Cotton Elm for the living room floor of my new rental house to replace old brown carpet & could not be happier!! This flooring is absolutely beautiful! As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it on my floor. Easy for my significant other to install & appears it will be very durable. Left the scrap pieces outside where they were rained on & they looked the same and held up wonderfully. Want more for my other rooms!! Very happy!

First I want to say that the $15 installation kit is a must with this floor. My husband spent the first few runs trying to manhandle the flooring like the first one we installed. This flooring goes in easy peasy if you have the tap block and the spacers. You will got hot, frustrated and sweaty without it and feel that everyone who said "its easy" was lying to you!

Second, examine each and every single piece because it has the padding glued right to it and the quality control from the factory isn't the best. Most pieces you will need to trim that padding, peel and re glue, so make sure you also purchase a bottle of flooring glue just for this.

Tools used were standard miter saw (didn't need the compound sliding miter until we got to the baseboards that were 6"), Table saw for stripping down the width of the end pieces. Reciprocating saw (beefed up dremel and no, the dremel won't work) for pieces around our bullnose and door cases.

If you are going to butt it up to tile, go with a 12mm flooring. The trim pieces are only available in two types and neither one that match the Cambridge made the transition from the flooring to the tile very well. We ended up using all T-moulding with some extra padding to elevate it slightly to "make" it work. The tracking made for the 10mm flooring simply wasn't quite deep enough to make a nice transition onto the tile.

This flooring has the padding glued right to it. Since we were replacing a flooring (it didn't need it but I wanted a new color as the old color was more orange and dated than I cared for). We had vapor lock and sound padding down on the hall floor. We installed a few pieces without either and they were much noisier without it. The hall has both vapor and sound padding as well as the padding already installed on the flooring itself. In the piano room we installed it only with the vapor barrier. There is slight difference in noise levels when walking, but I like the extra sound with the piano. Keep this in mind if you don't like hearing yourself clack on the floor.

Cleaning alert, this is a FULL TIME floor. Do yourself a huge favor, get a Dyson stick vacuum as you will see every single piece of lint, dust, water drop, foot print that crosses the floor. Mopping is easy, but if you use a disposable mop such as a Swiffer mop, either purchase tons of disposable mop pads or purchase yourself a big box of shop rags from the local hardware store. If you have heavy traffic and there is the slightest amount of dust on the mop pad, you will get a streaky floor and this floor shows EVERYTHING.

We have four dogs in our house and I find myself vacuuming it up every single day sometimes mopping daily, sometimes just every other day. We have a Weimaraner, a Great Pyrenees and two Chihuahuas. All four dogs for some reason had a really difficult time adjusting to this floor. You will need to keep dog nails well trimmed and be prepared for them slipping and sliding for weeks while they acclimate to it. Though it is quite comical and sad to watch a 180 pound dog come round the corner and sliding half way down the hall before he comes to a halt laying sideways in the doorway. I ended up installing a one piece carpet runner down the hall to alleviate this complication and to avoid injuries to the dogs. I have no idea what makes this floor so slick for the dogs.

This floor, unless you don't mind cleaning non stop is best for low traffic floors or a household that has few people. If you have young children, you also might want to keep this in mind. It is so beautiful however once installed that if you don't mind cleaning, you will simply appreciate the beauty like I do each and every day.

Note on the pattern in the floor. There is an optical illusion on this floor, you will think the end of the room opposite to you has tons of pattern in it while the end where you are standing has next to no pattern in it. If you are like me, you will take the pieces up, re arrange them, spend quite a bit of time making sure you alternate them only to find the same thing. If however you change your position to the opposite end of the hall, you will find what you thought was tons of pattern, up close doesn't look like much and the opposite end that originally didn't seem to have much pattern has lots of pattern to it. It is the design of this floor.

We used this for our basement, replacing some very old carpet. We are very happy with the end result, it looks great! However, the installation was not as easy and straightforward as we expected, as it is certainly not as easy as "snap in place and you go". Only a few of the planks actually snapped in place, the vast majority had to be hammered in place with the mallot, thus requiring lots of time and effort. This was our fist time doing a laminate floor, and we ended up taking a full weekend to do about 380 square feet, which also included a fireplace thus cutting quite a few angles.

Most of the boxes with the laminate were in good shape, however, we had one that had glue residue on all of the planks, requiring an extensive amount of cleaning prior to installation.

We have had this down for about a week. It looks fantastic, and has really lightened up some darker rooms.

So far it is holding up to out 40lbs dog, and not showing any wear. It does, however, show darker dirt quickly -- but we just Swiffer it daily, and things look good.
