Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Canadian Maple |
|
|
Schön Quick Clic engineered flooring is constructed with a real hardwood veneer atop a moisture-resistant HDF core (high density fiberboard) which is made from real wood fibers that are compressed into a dense, impact-resistant format. In addition to providing extra protection against denting, the HDF enables the most precise milling of the locking profile to enhance ease of use and long-term durability. Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Canadian Maple:
A mitre saw with a carbide blade and a table saw are handy when installing this product - other than that it really is "no tools", although I did purchase LL's install kit and a rubber mallet. In 24 cartons we found only one warped piece. The precise manner in which it snaps together is impressive. The waxy coating for the MDF base is thick - you may have to wipe up a places where it pokes through. Easy to keep clean with just spritz of Mr. Clean and a slightly damp sponge mop. Nice to walk on and quiet. It improved the room acoustics, too (replacing carpeting).

The Oakhurst LL store guys were great!

Installed in bedrooms, family room, office, and hallways. Very nice product. Fit and finish are great. The light color really lights up the rooms (some of the rooms are dark). Will update durability as we only had the floor installed a few weeks ago.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Canadian Maple:
Install was super easy, every piece is perfect, excellent micro bevel, all pieces are straight. Nice natural finish. My wish would be the inclusion of a few more random lenghts to make it easier to avoid any bricking effect. There are only 4 different lenghts in each box, 2 more random lengths and this floor would be a perfect 10/10.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Canadian Maple:
I installed this flooring in our home's lower level for use in our private dance studio. Easiest floor I have installed, did the whole room in several hours with minimal problems. My wife loves the color as it brightens the room (since there are no windows available in the room, as it was an unfinished storage room before).

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Canadian Maple:
very easy floor to install. I'm using it as a dance floor and have to refinish it because it is very slippery and students have falling. Manufacuturer needs to attend to this problem. I'm sure domestic use has this same problem. Beautifull floor will think twice before useing it again.

Very easy to install, but lots of waste due to color variations. Started with darker boards and worked to light, so the overall effect was very nice

Q:
How do I clean this Schon engineered canadian maple #10003489? Damp mop, sponge mop, specific cleaner?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
What is the Janka rating for this product?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Approximately 1430 based on Acer Saccharum (hard maple) Janka chart from www.wood-database.com.Q:
Is this flooring durable. we have 2 crazy dogs and plans to have children that will all be tough on the floors.1 answer
A:
This is a durable floor, however with two dogs and the anticipation of having children I would recommend a Bellawood solid (exotic) or a Strand Bamboo - both of these are much more durable than engineered floorsQ:
Is this interlocking?1 answer

what type of cleaner do i use and will it stain it1 answer

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
Can this product be installed in bathrooms and/or kitchens? How much water can it handle?1 answer
A:
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
Do you have to use spacers?1 answer
A:
Yes.
