Comments about 3/4" x 3/4" Carbonized Bamboo Quarter Round:
I love the way the floor looks, but I am very disappointed in its durability. One piece has already had one edge crack off and another one is developing on another piece of wood. It has only been on the floor for about two months and the pieces that came off is right in the middle of the living room.

the finish is true from one end to another and the machining is comparable to mdf. Very clean lines for a hardwood product

Our installer needed additional 1/4 round to complete the job, so I got him more of the same. It really adds to the overall "finished look" of our rooms.

Comments about 3/4" x 3/4" Carbonized Bamboo Quarter Round:
The 1/4 round molding is really not necessary. I used it with the Schon carbonized quick-click bamboo. This quarter round seemed really chunky, and some of the pieces didn't "match up". Also, there was a WIDE RANGE of colors within the molding! Everything from dark to extremely light, so some parts of the floor look pretty wierd. I had my boyfriend install this and the floors, and it was easy for him and he's no professional. My advice: don't waste your $ on this product. I thought I needed them to go with the bamboo floor, but I think it would have looked just as good (if not better) if I would have gone with the cheaper plain white quarter round that you can buy at any home improvement warehouse.
In short, this product is not worth the added cost.

What is the difference between Solid Hardwood and engineered hardwood? And with that being said...Which one is this?1 answer
A:
This material is a solid hardwood and the difference in this and an egineered is the construction - an engineered floor is constructed with layers of pine being laid perpindicular to each other and then compressed with a solid veneer of Rosewood (or other species) on top, this type of construction prevents as much contraction and expansion but is not as "hard" as a solid hardwoodQ:
