Excelent Product and they have a Veterans Military Discount

By Sea Bat

from Loudoun County, VA

Verified Reviewer

Pros

  • has installed over the past 10 years
  • Higher quality than other wood flooring I have

Cons

  • First product was the wrong product for my floor
  • floor, but they substuted it for another product
  • which they corrected immedinately.

Best Uses

I was disappointed initially with the price and they mentioned the Veterans Discount which made a very big dent in the overall cost. The sale of the wrong product did not surface until the installers discovered it which was not a common problem. Lumber Liquidators rectified the issue very quickly, and exchanged the product with the newer one that were on sale after my original agreement at the lower sale price for a substantial savings. I really feel that they focus on customer satisfaction.

    Service and delivery comments:

Delivery and installation were top notch. Installation was completed in half the time estimated. The installers did not waist one minute.

Engineered 3/8" X 3" classic Gunstock Oak By Schon

    Pros

    • THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT

    Cons

    • Installer training

    Best Uses

This is a great product. It installs great with the proper glue. You must level your concrete floor if you are gluing down. It sure beats having tile on the floor in the kitchen and living areas when you step on the floor in bare feet. Comfy. Floor looks great and I would buy it again and again. Great people at the store we bought the floor at. Called me when the floor we wanted went on sale. Plus they got my floor delivered for free.

I will buy again from them.

      Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was right to my garage, no problems.
I should have used LL's own installers than the company I picked. We went through one installer who did not know a level from a warped board. Fired them and hired the company that installed our tile in the bathroom. Their "hard wood" crew. They could get the job done in the open areas but when it came to working around the end walls or doorways very poor. Glue everywhere. They had to send in professional cleaners to get rid of the excess glue. I strongly suggest your use LL's Installers, if you have problems you have much more recourse.

      Different color

      By New customer

      from Boulder CO

The color of the flooring I received is much redder than the picture which shows a medium brown. Though nice, it is quite different from what I thought I'd be getting and I'm not thrilled about this.

            My first hardwood install

            By JC

            from Canton, MI

            Verified Reviewer

This was my first attempt at a hardwood flooring install. I laid down a good multipurpose underlayment on the concrete floor of my small kitchen, started my first row as square as I could, and I came out with an end result that was very pleasing.

This was a floating application. I wanted narrow wood since it was my first install, and I think it looks better in my small kitchen.

There were a few boards that were in poor shape on the underside that got tossed. I would have liked to have a few more small and medium sized boards. The longest length were the most frequent.

            Great Product & Service

            By Suzanne

            from Collierville, TN

The hardwood we purchased was to match the existing hardwood in our house. The customer service here was excellent and the product is beautiful and a good match. Next time we need wood floors, we will definately use Lumber Liquidators. I was impressed with their knowledge, helpfulness and pleasant customer service. And our order arrived before the predicted delivery date!

                A:

Our finishes and stains for stained prefinished flooring are contractually developed recipes for us, therefore the stain code #s are proprietary to LL. Unfortunately we don't have those stains available.

However, some homecenters and paint retailers have stain matching computer software which can give you a perfect match.

                A:

                The veneer thickness is 2mm.
Full refinishing will take slightly under a 1/32” off the veneer of the wood flooring. The thickness of the veneer and how much wear and dents a floor has will determine how many times it can be refinished. Solid hardwood that is ¾” thick may be refinished 4 to 7 or more times depending on how much wood was taken off on each refinishing. Low profile solid wood flooring like 5/16” thick flooring may be able to be refinished twice if the flooring is in good shape. Engineered flooring with a 1/8” wear layer or more will be able to be refinished at least once. If the engineered product has a 1/16” wear layer a professional sander may be able to refinish it, but many won’t take the chance in case they make a mistake and take too much off the wear layer. We recommend that hardwood floor refinishing be done by a professional and if your not sure if you can refinish your flooring have professional sand and finish expert come to your home and evaluate your flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.
