Morning Star Clic 1/2" x 5" Fuyang Clic Strand Bamboo
Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury.
To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty.
And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Once I finally made up my mind to use this product, the hard part was over. I put it in my kitchen and foyer to my garage. I should have bought enough to do my dining room too! We are remodeling a house that we just bought - great house but a time warp: it is completely stuck in 1976. We just HAD to change the flooring from the 1970's linoleum that came with the house.
Installation was easier than I expected. My husband and I put this down in a day and a half, which was way faster than anticipated due to the number of cuts around cabinets and corners and doors we had to make. Neither of us are professional DIY'ers. I had only one bad board in 300ft2.
I absolutely love the color - it's almost like a naturally aged cherry, beautiful "graining" - you can't tell it's bamboo. It appears to wear very well, and not too much seems to permanently stick to it (meaning I was able to scratch a smear of caulking off of it after it dried). I love it and truly believe I made the right choice with this floor.
Easy to install. Looks beautiful and is durable my plumber dropped his metal measuring tape 3 times and not even a dent or scratch
We installed this flooring in our family room, foyer, office and dining room. I love it, love it, love it! It took me quite a while to decide on this floor, mostly because there are so many choices and deciding on floating vs. glued, types of padding, colors, etc, was just overwhelming. My husband asked me on a scale of 1-10 what I thought, and I gave it 100! Love the way it looks, it completely warms up the space. All of the boards in the boxes were in good condition, we had no problems with ordering the product. I would definitely recommend it to others.
I just installed 400 sq. ft. of this floor in the front three rooms of my house (dinning room, office, and foyer) and it looks great! It was easy to install all by myself. Everyone who has been to our house says it looks great and my friend wishes he would have used it in his house instead of the engineered wood he put down. I am very happy with this product.
Flooring looks great went down easily and hopefully it will wear like steel. I think it will.
I installed this floor in a second floor hallway. It has been two weeeks since installation, and we haven't had any issues. This floor looks great and I'm ready to use it again in another room.
We love this flooring! We were looking for something beautiful, but durable for a busy household. If you have children and/or pets this is the ideal floor for you! The color is beautiful and can work with any decor! It is easy to clean. The photo is beautiful, but the flooring looks better in person.
This floor is great! The color is awesome. It goes with any decor. It is very durable and can be used in any room of the home. We have a lot of traffic through our home with 2 eight year old's and their friends. I recommend this floor to anyone who is looking for something durable for children and pets.

Q:I have been researching this product online. And there has been comments about formaldehyde poisoning or other effects causing burning and watery eyes, itchy nose, sneezing and acrid fumes lasting way after installation. Can you comment on this?
A:I am sure you have concerns with the Bamboo as some people do.
Q:Instructions indicate "apply glue to board ends only" with some additional detail on edge gluing short fill in boards or last row...just to clarify, does EACH board need to be glued on the ends? Do only short fill in boards and the last row of boards need to be glued along the length? What is the concern with gluing each board along the length?
A:Only short fill in boards and the last row of boards need to be glued along the length.
Q:Can this product be installed over ceramic tile?
A:Yes you can!
Q:We had Fuyang Bamboo flooring installed in Oct-Nov of 2012. We allowed a week of acclimation time prior to install. We are now experiencing gapping between planks. Installer has done many floating floor installs, and not sure of what may be causing this. Overall..we are very pleased with the look of the flooring, but really need to look to resolve this situation with the gapping. Any help is appreciated
A:All wood and bamboo products are affected by environmental conditions especially prefinished materials. Acclimate the new flooring in the areas to be installed to normal lived-in conditions while in the boxes. If products are protected in plastic, only open the ends of the boxes. To prevent board warping, twisting or bowing, only cut the outside plastic support packaged bindings when ready to install. Length of acclimation time is not the determining factor. The goal is to reach an indoor equilibrium or environmental balance between the “core” of the new flooring with its surroundings before installation. This balance could be achieved in as little as 1 to 5 days, or longer for some exotic species. For best performance, condition the flooring to consistent indoor temperatures of 60°-80° F and indoor humidity levels of 30% - 50%. Very dry or humid regions of the country usually require extended conditioning. Recommended acclimation levels maintained even after the installation will help to minimize board movement, excessive squeaks and gaps. Proper jobsite conditions, acclimation and moisture testing the subfloor and new flooring and all work together for the success of the installation. Excessive squeaks and gapping can result from poor or no acclimation or very low humidity. Increased humidity can return flooring to normal. Seasonal gapping is normal when humidity drops due to heating.
Q:Can strand bamboo be refinished?
A:If needed, bamboo flooring can be fully re-sanded and finished about three times as any other species
Q:We plan to use the product in an old structure that does not have a perfectly straight sub-floor. Can we use a product like this that comes in 6-foot lengths or do we need to look for something that comes in 3 or 4 foot lengths (tavern style). If so, do you have any recommendations.
A:As with any solid flooring product the subfloor needs to be flat within specifications.
Q:Can I use my shark floor steamer to clean this floor?
A:We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:On the Janka Chart where does this product rank?
A:Engineered Hardwoods are not tested using the Janka Scale.
Q:How long are these boards?
A:6 feet long.
Q:Can this type of flooring be used in the bathrooms and kitchen areas? What kind of cleaning method is recommended for this type of flooring as well?
A:yes, this flooring can be installed in bathroom and in kitchens, to clean the floor you would want to use our Bellawood Hardwood Floor Cleaner
