Quick Highlights:

- Real Bamboo

Steamed bamboo, caramelizing the sugar within to change its color.

Twice as hard as oak, strand bamboo is an optimal choice for busy homes when durability is needed to stand up to the wear and tear of family foot traffic, active kids and even pets.

To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure.  This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors.

And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

It's simple...
Eco-Friendly. Beautiful look. Beautiful price.

Do I have to worry about formaldehyde emissions on this floor? Bamboo wide planked dark.

The Country of Origin for this Bamboo product is China; it is not included in the 60 Minutes allegations.
It is perfectly safe and is not subject to CARB. We abide by CARB regulations.
Our bamboo floors are an entirely different product. They are made differently, and with different materials. While these products are not regulated by CARB or any other emissions standard, Lumber Liquidators has established strict formaldehyde emission standards for its solid bamboo products, and these products offer extremely low formaldehyde emissions. In addition, Lumber Liquidators regularly tests these products to monitor conformance to these specifications.

is this flooring pet friendly. will it stand up to a 45 lb dog?

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.

Can i install Major Brand 3/8" x 3-3/4" Click Strand Carbonized Bamboo in a bath room?

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our engineered or vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4 and 5mm click together products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

How thick is the wear layer on this product?
    Asked on 10/24/2014 by PD

    1 answer

Strand bamboo is made of woven pieces of fibrous strips throughout the board, there is no wear layer as it makes a solid piece.

  • Q:

If I put in bamboo flooring and in 10 years it needs to be refinished can that be done or do you have to replace the floor
Asked on 6/19/2014 by tony from virginia

To restore the original shine of a solid hardwood, bamboo, cork, and engineered floor a screen and re-coat may be needed or a complete refinishing. A professional sand and finish expert would have to make the determination on site on which sanding process will be needed or which can be done to restore the floors shine. Thank you for your inquiry.
