  • Q:

    I am looking to finish the floor in my basement. I am planning a DRIcore under layment, Then Dance Pad Foam, and finally a locking laminate flooring. This room will have a sofa bed, TV cabinet, and a computer hutch. Will the weight of these things effect the flooring?

      A:

      Depends on the flooring used. Dancepad recommends;

      Morning Star Quick Click Solid Bamboo (1/2” thickness) and
      Schon Quick Clic® Engineered Hardwood (7/16” thickness).

      Use felt pads on all furniture.

  • Q:

    Could this product be used over a rug in a basement? The current flooring is a pretty stiff/tight weave approx 1/2 inch rug right over the concrete foundation (no subflooring below rug). Looking to put in dance floor with this pad under it, which would allow for removal and go back to the rug only down the road. Result: concrete, existing rug, pad, flooring.

  • Q:

    Is this an open-cell or a closed-cell foam? To what extend will it absorb water?
    Asked on 1/4/2014 by Tony from Vermont

      A:

      Dura Dance Pad is an open cell foam and will absorb moisture.
      6 mil film must be used under pad if any possible moisture present.

    Which floor would you recommend for a dance fitness studio, specifically for Zumba? I was thinking that dance pad foam and then vinyl or laminate on top but i am not sure what would be best for shock absorption. I saw that dura dance home system as well. I am in Canada. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
