Q:I am looking for a product to put down over a floor that has basement without ceiling insulation. Would this muffle sound better than felt-like products?
A:There is no STC/IIC (no testing done) ratings for the Dance Floor pad at this time, therefore I cannot make a determination as to it being a better sound insulator.
Q:What is the R-value? My house is over 100 years old, with cold, cold floors. there's no room to crawl under and add spray-foam insulation, so I'm looking at adding some kind of underlayment and wood/laminate floors, but I don't know what is best for the purpose of insulation.
A:This product has not been tested for R-value.
Q:Can this floor lie between radiant heat pex tubing and a 7mm floating floor? Can it handle the heat (approx. 80 degrees)?
A:Dura Dance can go over radiant heat systems, however, the thickness and density of the foam material will reduce the amount of heat reaching the surface.
Q:With the Dura Dance pad, is a vapor barrier needed or does the pad act as a vapor barrier?

Q:I am looking to finish the floor in my basement. I am planning a DRIcore under layment, Then Dance Pad Foam, and finally a locking laminate flooring. This room will have a sofa bed, TV cabinet, and a computer hutch. Will the weight of these things effect the flooring?
A:Depends on the flooring used. Dancepad recommends;
Q:Could this product be used over a rug in a basement? The current flooring is a pretty stiff/tight weave approx 1/2 inch rug right over the concrete foundation (no subflooring below rug). Looking to put in dance floor with this pad under it, which would allow for removal and go back to the rug only down the road. Result: concrete, existing rug, pad, flooring.
