Comments about Dream Home Foam Underlayment:

It's not the blue foam pictured in the online catalog, but it goes UNDER the floor, so who cares about the color? Used this underlayment with 7mm laminate for a basement floor. Result is a soft, comfortable floor with plenty of 'give' under foot. Had concerns about the product not insulating enough above the cement pad, but between the vapor barrier and this underlayment, the room is much warmer. Additional concerns about potential failure of using a thin underlayment to support a thin laminate proved unfounded, as the resulting floor is durable and steady -- at least it is holding up to three young kids and their scooters. Definitely inadequate for commercial applications, and probably not enough for a sound barrier on main floors, but it's just right for the average basement. As long as you're willing to take the extra step of installing a separate vapor barrier (some premium underlayments serve a dual function), this product is a great value that shouldn't disappoint.

We just purchased 400 sq ft of 12mm padded laminate from Lumber Liquidators. We are installing this over 100 year old wood floors. Some slight highs and lows in wood. Very little. What type of underlayment should I use before I lay flooring. Plywood or foam? One room is 10' x 25'.

Unfortunately there is no MSDS sheet available for this undelayment.
Regarding Voc emissions there are more concerns with products in a volatile or liquid state such as; glues, sealers and coatings rather than with dried, cured solid components.
This product is safe in its purchased form.
Thank you for your interest in our flooring products.

No. All our underlayment resists mold. Laminate flooring should not installed in any area with mold concerns. Mold will ruin any building of finishing material.
