We installed this floor in our master bath, and I LOVE it. It is beautiful and easy to clean. I wish I could have it in the whole house, but my husband thinks it would be too much. Bah Humbug! We will see who wins this arguument!

Comments about Ty Pennington Hardwood 3/4" x 5" Eleuthera Natural Ash:
I love this floor. I had never installed a hardwood floor myself before, but thought I could do it...and I was right. It went down with no problems. It helps to have the right tools and the knowledge of how to use them. The web site says it needs to have a 3/4" underlayment, but I installed the floor using Elastilon. It was easy to use on my concrete condo floor. Order carefully...the store estimated the number of boxes I would need and still charged me 20% for returning the 2 boxes I had leftover.

Comments about Ty Pennington Hardwood 3/4" x 5" Eleuthera Natural Ash:
Everyone who heard about our blue floor was skeptical that we could pull it off. Now that it is installed we get nothing but raves. Truly a unique floor that adds so much color to a room yet never overpowers the surroundings.
It was easy to install and will last forever.

Comments about Ty Pennington Hardwood 3/4" x 5" Eleuthera Natural Ash:
I got this wood to do a border around walnut in the nursery. Great contrast and nice color. I don't know what they're talking about with "natural" finish though, the wood is a light pine color, not some crazy blue tree. Some spots along the edge the real natural color is visible, so place it carefully.
Service and delivery comments:
I had the local LL shop bring it by, much easier than picking it up myself last time. Definitely worth it.

Comments about Ty Pennington Hardwood 3/4" x 5" Eleuthera Natural Ash:
This is the most beautiful flooring. We did our whole log home with it and it's amazing---it's a gorgeous contrast against all the natural pine walls and ceiling. This blue should be considered the new "neutral." Everything goes with it and it's sooooo pretty.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Hardwood, engineered, laminate (higher warranty laminate is better in high traffic areas like kitchens), cork, and bamboo is acceptable for installation in a kitchen, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Also you will need to wipe up any water as soon as possible.Q:
I have a 150lb irish wolfhound, and a 60lb crazy mutt, love this flooring; but am worried that the finish will not hold up the dogs nails and that it would be difficult to refinish (if it could be re-finished). and also, what would you recommend as the most durable flooring considering our four legged family members.1 answer
A:
The Ty Pennington flooring have a very durable finish. This floor can also be refinished several times. The most durable floors are AC rated low gloss laminate flooring. If you would like solid flooring 3/4" solid species of wood that have a high janka hardness rating tend to be the most durable. Many of our product have customer reviews that show customers opionions of how scratch resistant their floors have been since they have installed them in there home.Q:
I need to finish off the curved edges to the step in a matching stain color. Is one available or do I have to keep mixing colors trying to get a match?1 answer
A:
I would recommend going to an actual paint store with a sample of the floor & have them match it up.Q:
can this floor be glued instead of nailed?1 answer
A:
Not recommended.
