We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

QUALITY GUARANTEE: This flooring is constructed and tested to meet or exceed industry standards for emissions.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Elgin Oak Resilient:

Floor must be completely smooth or you will be able to see/feel the imperfection. Luckily they are relatively easy to peel back and remove staple or drive nail or sand a high spot, etc. Overall great product.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Elgin Oak Resilient:

We bought this flooring so that we could replace our very worn carpet with a hard-surface floor that was pretty and durable enough to last while we saved up the money for ceramic tile. It makes a lovely floor that I'm very happy to live with.

I cannot comment on durability yet, as I've not had it long enough to see how it is going to wear over the long run, but it has not been marred by our two strong and active dogs, which is a good sign.

Installation was fast, and much easier than I expected. It went on to a concrete subfloor that we scoured and sealed prior to installation. So far, no problems with it staying in place.

Because I've seen vinyl flooring that looked beat up rather quickly, I might hesitate to put it in a high traffic area without using area rugs to protect it. We put it in low-use rooms, where it is likely to stay nice for years.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Elgin Oak Resilient:

I used this product throughout my house to put over hardwood floors that the previous owners destroyed beyond refinishing. I especially liked the 25 year warranty. It was equal to many hardwood finishes and greater than many laminate floorings. For a 66 year old, this was en easy and beautiful floor to install. My wife and I are both exptremelt pleased.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Elgin Oak Resilient:

I'm so impressed with this product, peel and stick has certainly come a long way from years past. The floor looks like wood, it's very easy to install. I had a variety of cuts and angles in my living room, but this product is easy to work with, just need a bit of time and patience with the cuts, makes even an amature look professional.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Elgin Oak Resilient:

2 yrs ago used this product to re-floor my entire house, with the exception of the bathroom. I laid it over clean plywood subflooring. It went down easy, being able to just score and snap the sheets to cut to size was great. People come in my house and I have to show them a spare piece in order for them to believe it's not at least laminate. I had some damage to a piece after about a year (which was entirely my fault) and replacing the piece was a simple process, which left the floor looking great once again. After 2yrs in a house with a huge dog and a rowdy little boy it still looks great, cleans up easy. I'm putting on an addition and am about to go pick up more!

I love the fact that these are animal friendly and water resistent. They are easy to clean and maintain.

You need to make sure that you have a completely clean/level surface because once you lay the flooring, it will show every nail on your subfloor or imperfection underneath.

Depending on the severity of your slope it may not work as it would cause the planks to distort and gap.

                        Not directly over it.
I would suggest putting down a 1/4" plywood for a smooth surface for the planks to adhere to.

                        A:

                        Existing Resilient Floors:
                        • Peel and Stick planks may be installed over existing sheet vinyl floors that are well-bonded to the subfloor. NOTE: Cushion, foam-back or perimeter type floors, and VCT floorings are not recommended and should be removed.
•All traces of wax, other surface coatings, or foreign matter must be removed in a way that does not damage the integrity of the
existing flooring or hinder a proper bond of the new flooring.
•Heavily embossed floors should be completely removed.
You can find complete installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the specs tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.pdf
