St. James Collection by Dream Home - 12mm Flint Creek Oak Laminate Flooring- 30 Year Warranty

St. James offers a regal alternative.

At 12mm, the St. James Collection is very durable and comes with a 30 year warranty!

Quick Installation Tips:
- Store flooring flat for 48 hours in its original packaging at room temperature.
- Must be installed over a clean, stable, flat, smooth, and dry surface.
- Moisture barrier is recommended for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:

Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment.  When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

St. James Collection's Advantages:
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation, Installation Type: Floating
- Moisture resistant board
- 3mm (1/8") pre-glued underlayment included
- AC Rating: 3
- 30 Year Warranty

        Beautiful Flooring

        • Looks beautiful
        • Plank Color Consistent

        • Not A High Use Room

The end result is beautiful but scratches easier than promised and the pcs click together into a flimsy cardboard pc which chips/breaks easy. Had to fill in with a black sharpie a number of times.

We put this floor down in our kitchen. What was supposed to be a snap, turned out to be everything but a snap. When we realized the boards we warped it was to late. It took us three evenings to put the floor down.

                  Best Uses

THis was professionally installed and was nothing but problems from start to finish! BIG MISTAKE! We had an entire 1st floor done with this and it has been nothing but a problem. The "professionals" chipped it on installation, and see it getting worse each time I clean it, which is almost every couple of hours! They didn't completely finish the work, had to do it myself. I ordered extra, but somehow had to order more to complete the job, and still don't had any leftover! Installers got mad when I questioned what happened, and left a huge mess for me to clean up! NEVER AGAIN!

The description said there were 3 lengths of boards in boxes, mthere was only one! We made it work in the large walk in closet we were doing, but I think it wouldn't look as good in a large room with one sized board. Having said that though it is a gorgeous floor and I want to install it in other rooms!

More or less yes. Steps need to be taken with laminate flooring just like hardwood flooring. For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible (generally only black soled or high heals may cause scuffing, ugh heels will dent wood floors) . Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often. Use throw rugs by sinks. Dry spills promptly.

Laminate Flooring Cleaner works great and Bellawood Cleaner works well, find here - http:// www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/s/flooring-molding-tools-accessories/floor-care-products

In addition, Bona Kemi makes a decent hardwood flooring cleaner. Do not use oil-type cleaner of any kind.

If exposed to moisture too much probably not. Our Tranquillity Click Vinyl would do well however.

What is the length of the stair nose? Does it sit OVER the step itself or lie FLUSH with the laminate?

What is the R value of the flooring? Can it be installed over a heated floor. I plan on using a electric pad made by thermasoft.

                              A:

We don't have exact measurement for this but it is negligible, likely less than 0.7.

The important thing is to follow the particular flooring manufacturer recommendations for radiant heat as well as sustaining recommended temperature and humidity. In addition the radiant heat manufacturer's recommended floor coverings must be considered as not all floors may be appropriate.

DREAM HOME flooring can be used in combination with many types of in-floor heating.
                              1. Follow the instructions from the supplier of the floor heating system.
                              2. Concrete subfloors must be installed and cured a minimum of 60 days.
                              3. The heating system must be in operation for at least two weeks before installation to dissipate any residual moisture. During installation, the system may be turned off or set to a suitable installation temperature 65 to 75°F.
                              4. Adjust the heating system gradually. The heating surface temperature must not exceed 85°F.
