Bought this with the bundle install kit. Works very well and accurately for end cuts of the laminate - 6-8in cuts.
Takes a lot of manpower - needed my dad to hold board in place when cutting it length wise, then I had to pull down with force to cut. It's possible to use this for an entire project (500 sq ft living room) but it would have taken us a few more days.....ended up using a table saw.

I bought this and also the small power flooring saw. the manual saw worked so well I did 95% of the job with no power saw at all. no cords no electric place it anywhere u are working and cut away. I am so impressed with this it could and should be 2 times the price. Just amazing. I did you the power saw at the end just because I had about 20 pieces to rip long ways and it was faster to use power saw. I did rip with this saw it worked but required a bit more work to do so. if I only had a couple of rips I would never use a power saw ever.

          Laminate Floor Cutter

To make straight end cuts on laminate flooring in the room you are working in. If you use a compound miter saw it needs to be kept out of the room due to all the dust. With this you can keep the cutter right next to your supply of wood and section of floor you are installing. For angled or someething requiring a sharp clean edge cut, you will still need a traditional compound saw.

                Okay

It cut through 8mm thickness planks as stated. It does take some force to cut through wider planks especially nearer the end of the cut. To a certain extent you need to use the weight of your body to complete the entire cut. The cut leaves a rough edge (approx 3/16" variation in the cut fiber edge and approx 1/16" sporadic damage to the laminate finish edge) which should be okay since the rough edge should be covered by shoe molding. When cutting off small amounts from a plank (less than 1/2 inch) I noticed that the cutter tends to remove material from the underside of the part of the plank you intend to keep. All in all it did the job I asked of it. I prefer using a table saw with a good quality miter fence and laminate saw blade. If you have the option, a sharp laminate saw blade is much more precise in terms of measurement, leaves a much cleaner edge, and cuts the laminate easily.

Circular Saw much better to use. The so called blade is 1/4 or more thick, does not cut. It smashes the flooring.

Bought this specifically to install vinyl "click" flooring which I bought @ LL. I wanted the install to go faster and cuts to be more accurate. I don't own a table saw or chop saw and didn't want to rent one. I guess if you're installing thicker wood-base flooring this device could be great, for me it was a waste of time and money. Especially awful on "long" cuts. Only when I was 60% finished did I experiment with "score and snap" using a utility knife. The last 40% of the job went twice as fast. Finished project is terrific. Now the slow part is how to get rid of the stupid cutter. Suggest you make sure the store sales people DON'T recommend it for vinyl click flooring.

Easy to use. There is no sawing involved so no messy dust to deal with. The cuts are clean on the top of the board but are not as clean on the back side. Fortunately, the back side is down. In addition the cut side of your planks will be on the end of your row so they will be covered by quarter-round. For the money, ease of use, and no dust, this product is worth having : )
