We enlisted an installer who was new to the product. The installer said this wood flooring is much harder and more beautiful then others he installed. We love the look and ease of cleaning this floor.

Our installers looooooved this floor-it went down quickly with very little waste. We are having 1250 sq ft installed area by area. After the wall to wall light carpet this is a real treat and the dust from pets etc has been greatly reduced.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Golden Acacia:
Got this product as an exchange for a bad choice I made on some 5/16" x 2 1/4 bellawood Brazillian Redwood (see my other review on that) - anyway this is awesome, looks great, is hard wearing and my installer loved putting this stuff down.
Service and delivery comments:
Once again - Patrick at the Matthews, NC store is awesome..the guy gets it, he knows you are spending a lot of money when all said and done and that you are going to have the floors for many years, so he will make sure you are happy.

We had this hardwood installed in our bedrooms. It has a lot of character and a nice blend of light and dark wood. I would highly recommend it.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Golden Acacia:
We bought this to re-do the entire flooring in a house we just bought. Approx 1400 sq ft. I had never installed hardwood floors, but I do a lot of home improvement things. We rented most of the tools and purchased others to install the floors. Get the best tools is my one bit of advice.
The floors looked even better than I could have imagined. They completely transformed our house. The wood is extremely strong and dense wood. We had very little waste, probably less than 5% even. Since most of the pieces were in good shape and did not need to sifted through for bad pieces.
I was extremely happy with quality of the wood and the quality of the processing of the planks, both top notch.
Do tons of internet research and watch a lot of online DIY videos and FOLLOW the instructions they give. Cutting corners to save time will result in errors you see later. Do all this and you get a professional result. Installing hardwood floors is not rocket science. But like anything pay maticulous attention to directions and the details. Especially squaring a room before laying out your first row.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Golden Acacia:
I was looking for a product that was a durable and beautiful as Brazilian Cherry, yet one that wouldn't change colors from the sun. Well - this is it! It really looks beautiful and elegant. I can't say enough about it! And it is strong! I've slid things across is already - and looked to see if I scratched it, and nope - it's fine. Very very happy.
Service and delivery comments:
My delivery to the store (I picked it up) was earlier than anticipated. All the sales reps who helped me were very helpful - although after I picked it up, I thought I might need more - I was afraid I wouldn't have enough. I must say- the rep who helped me went above and beyond to find more for me quickly (since it's hard to get and wasn't in stock) and make sure I had enough for my project (Stephen). And then - at the end, when my Threshold wasn't the correct one and there were a few items I didn't need. The manager (Michael) was very gracious in what he offered me and helped me out on the spot.

Comments about Casa de Colour 3/4" x 3-5/8" Golden Acacia:
We used this product in a hallway. Installation was complicated by the board widths inconsistency, which left some gaps. This required constant attention, to make sure that narrow boards were not used. Also needed to pay attention to make sure boards with a different finish (hazing)were not used. The floor is a beautiful color and looks very nice. I would just like to know if we would have had these same issues if the product were purchased at a "non-discount" retailer. Are these seconds?

Q:
Could the Golden Teak be used inside a sail boat as a floor panel? How is this product with regards to moisture?1 answer

This is not appropriate because it is pre-finish. Urethane finish can't handle the dimensional changes that take place with extreme environmental shifts.Q:

can you use this with floor radiant heat1 answer
A:
At this time Lumber Liquidators only recommends floating floors (flooring not attached to the subfloor) for radiant heat applications. This is because solid wood, even species with better dimensional stability characteristics than others cannot predictably be guaranteed to perform well over heated floors. Be aware that in addition to this, radiant systems and its operation can negatively impact the long term finish performance of wood flooring and may result in finish chipping, peeling or hazy finish.Q:

Is this type of floor good for a 70lb Golden Retriever? Will it scratch if the dog is on it?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
I have a Bellawood floor (similar finish to Casa de Colour) that holds up extremely well to our Hound Mix, Pit-Boxer, and another young mutt. Not to mention nieces, nephews, and work shoes. Excellent finish. It's not scratch free but no wood floor could be with these dogs. Harder floors like hickory ( 41% harder than Red Oak) or exotic floors will dent less easily. 3/4" hardwood can also be refinished several times. Light colors will hide scratches. Remember nothing is scratch proof but some do better than others.
