Color is all over the map. You must be very selective when choosing what to install and what not to install. Nothing matched the samples from the showroom. Even the stair nosing did not match anything in this floor. Finish mars easily.
Service and delivery comments:
Not in stock. Must be ordered. If you need more, plan on waiting up to 2 weeks. Even stair nosing took 2 weeks to arrive.

This very luxurious floor has a lustrous sheen, warmth and depth to it, I could just sit on it all day and admire it! Have had rave reviews and praise from all my friends and neighbors about it! I used it in the master bedroom and the guest room. I wanted to use oak in the hallway, but after this wonderful teak, I can't resist and so I'll put it all the way, even in the hallway! 100 years of warrenty, one might as well call it the "forever" warrenty!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Golden Teak:
We installed this product in our entire house except the kitchen and baths. Everyone who sees it comments on how beautiful the wood is. We find that it does not scratch easily and clean-up is a cinch. The only con is that because it is so hard, it was tedious to install - we tried the pneumatic nailer but it split the wood so much that we have been pre-drilling and hand-nailing the entire floor! (Actually my wife did most of the installation!)Well worth it the effort though. The beveled edges also make the floor less smooth than the plain edges but it doesn't bother us.

I installed this hardwood in my 200sf kitchen in one day. It's beautiful! Color and grain variation is fairly broad and needs careful racking to get the best effect. We are very pleased by how it adds warmth to the room.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Golden Teak:
We had purchased the Brazilian teak wood flooring from Lumbar Liquidators seven years ago. We loved the quality and finish. This is supposed to be the same floor but we feel the quality has decreased. The finish is not as thick, it scratches easier and the colors are not as varied and deep. We were extremely pleased with the first order and very disappointed with our current order.

When installing over a wood substrate we recommend using a permeable (breathable) moisture barrier such as 15 lb roofing felt or our Silicone Vapor Sheild.Q:
We are a general contractor building a 3,570 sq.ft. doctors office and the owner picked up a sample 0f your 3/4" x 3 1/4" select golden teak by Bellawood to use in his new building. Our concern is how the this flooring will withstand the human traffic in this office and the daily clean up with industrial chemicals commonly used in doctors offices. Also the building is in south Florida. Last question, due to the high traffic in a doctors office and the constant clean up should the wood flooring be installed on 3/4" pressure treated plywood over a vapor barrier. please advice1 answer

I am looking for a medium color wood that is not to dark. I already know Brazilian Teak is to dark for my needs so I wanted to know how photosensitive Golden Teak is? and how dark it might get when compared to Brazilian Teak?1 answer
A:
Wood products can be dramatic in appearance, especially the exotics. Only factory made products such as tile, vinyl, and wallpaper will have uniformity of color. Keep in mind that wood and corks are natural product and no two installed floors will be identical. Variations in appearance are completely normal and are a desired characteristic. As your floor ages, color or shading called “patina” can occur. This process can be rapid the first 3 months, less in 6 months, then finishing off in about I year. Moving the furniture and rugs around helps to even out areas that were not exposed to light. Try to avoid large area rugs for the first 3 months.
