Now you can get the sophistication and eco-friendliness of Bamboo floors in an easy-to-install product by Schön Engineered Quick Clic prefinished floors with an aluminum oxide-based finish and an extra thick wear layer, these Bamboo floating floors are a snap to install! Schön Engineered Quick Clic bamboo flooring is constructed with a real, thick-sawn bamboo veneer atop a core consisting of layers of plywood. The core layers are precisely stacked with the grain of adjacent plies perpendicular to each other. This construction design provides greater stability as each layer offsets the next to counteract normal movement as the wood responds to the effects of moisture and temperature change. Quick Highlights: About Engineered Flooring: We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.) DID YOU KNOW? Lumber Liquidators

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 9/16" x 5" Horizontal Carbonized Bamboo Quick Clic:
I will try and describe this product a little better. I installed ~200 sq ft. in ~12 hours. I was working by myself and like to take my time.
Subfloor was concrete on a sandwiched second floor, sealed with self leveling underlayment about one week earlier, and covered with Lumber Liquidator's Eco Silent Sound underlayment. The combination with this floor is very quiet to the floor below.
Product boxes are gray and white. the white side is the flat side of the product and the gray sides are the edges.
There are three layers of material in this product. According to my vernier calipers:
Top bamboo layer is 3.5mm
Middle softwood layer is 8.3mm
Bottom wood layer is 1.7mm
Overall thickness is 13.9mm or 17/32"
The wood is very fragrant, and I found the ~200 sq ft rather noxious for a couple of days.
There were some damaged pieces from shipping, but I had plenty of extras as I was able to cut the damaged parts and use the remaining pieces with minimal waste.
Yes, the finish does scratch, so you should carefully pad your workspace, saws, etc. I did not encounter any scratches in the wood material, only the finish which can be buffed out. Each piece was not perfectly straight (bowed, etc.) but this doesn't matter because it straightens when tapped into place with a tapping block (aka the click).
I think this is a good product. My only worries are the softwood core, the size of the softwood layer in the core and varying sizes in the core layers. In the end, these concerns are mitigated by the warranty.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 9/16" x 5" Horizontal Carbonized Bamboo Quick Clic:
This product is very soft and scratches so easily as to make it unsuitable for most applications. The flooring clicks together nicely and looks great after it's installed. However, doing something as simple as moving a piece of furniture across the floor is guranteed to make a really nasty mark.

Very lovely but disappointed how the butt ends seperated. The butt ends are not click lock, but just tongue and groove. I ended up having to remove the flooring and glue the butt ends.

First I have to thank the guys at LL in Palm Desert because I got there an hour before closing and they had to move so much inventory to get to the product I bought. Needless to say they had to stay late yet they were so kind and helpful. They made sure I left with as much product as I needed. I thought they were selling me too much but with all the cuts I had to make it was just the right amount. I could not believe how fast and easy this was to put down. In a few hours after work in 2 evenings we had the floor down. It looks great. I put felt pads on all the furniture to prevent scratches. All in all I am so pleased at how it came out.

I installed this product over cement in my 3 bedroom condo. I've never installed a wood floor and found this to be very easy.
I began 10 months ago and did a room at a time. During that time my two 100 pound dogs have had the run of the house with no scratches, gouges or damage of any kind.
I highly recommend this product.

The adhesive that is used in bonding our Bamboo, Cork, Engineered, and Laminate flooring products contain very low amounts of Urea Formaldehyde. We feel that our products are very safe and most meet California CARB Phase I or California Phase II regulations, which is listed on the boxes. We also list MSDS sheets for most of these products on the Lumber Liquidators website “Flooring 101”.Q:

Every hard surface floor will bounce sound waves back into the room. The furnishings, drapes etc. will help break the deflected sounds up.Q:
is cork or bamboo less slippery? I have a dog with mild arthritis.1 answer
A:
Of the two I believe the Cork would be the better choice.Q:
is this a good choice for bathrooms1 answer
A:
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.
