2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient Vinyl Flooring- 6" x 36" Peel and Stick Plank

Highlights:
- Just peel and stick! Pre-cut in plank sizes, it combines beauty with ease of installation.
- Produced with recycled raw material to make it a beautiful environment friendly flooring.
- Backed with a 25 Year Warranty

Quick Installation Tip:
Subfloor surface must be clean, flat, smooth, and level. This product is not recommended for installation over radiant heat.

Resilient flooring is moisture resistant which makes it an excellent choice for high moisture areas such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. But it will also enhance the look and feel of bedrooms, living rooms, and any other areas of your home.

We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.)

Can't tell it's not actually bamboo.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient:

I found the flooring easy to install for the practiced DIY'er. Not much harder than "old school ugly vinyl peal and stick". My only mistake was not using 3 or more lengths, I did only 2 and it's too symentrical. Love the clean up!!!!Very easy to maintain.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient:

My husband and I bought this floor to put in our livingroom, diningroom, kitchen and hallway. It took us about four to five hours to finish all of the rooms and the end result is great.

The only thing that is bugging me is the smell. I left the windows open for most of the day and there is still a lingering odor of vinyl or the paste that is used or maybe the combination.

If I could make a recommendation for the manufacturer, if they could place a grid pattern on the paper backing to make the cutting easier.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient:

I put this in both my upstairs & downstairs bathrooms. Both look really beautiful with the new floor. It was difficult to cut with a pair of scissors or knife. It went down easy although it was some times difficult to line it up exactly right. I have no problems with it lifting. I put this right over the old flooring. I did busy some bamboo trim pieces to make it look more finished.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient:

Installed this in my Home Bar "Man Cave". Love it! Easy to install, did it myself over concrete flooring in just a few hours. Easy to cut with just a utility knife, and lays down excellent, with NO problems at all. This flooring looks like real bamboo, and feels like real wood. Everyone who has seen it can believe its only vinyl plank flooring. Easy clean-up and waterproof.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm Horizontal Bamboo Resilient:

This floor was really easy to lay, and it looks beautiful! No one believes me that it's not real wood. I was a little skeptical at first, but when I went to go pick up the product at the lumber liquidators store in Seattle, this was the only flooring they had down in their showroom floor that didn't have scratches! It took me and my husband 2 days to lay about 650 sq feet of flooring in our family room, dining room and office, only working about 6 hours each day. We did use the glue, we ended up using 4 cans of glue for the 650 sq feet we installed. I am going to put this in my guest bath as well since I have 4 boxes left over.

As with any solid vinyl product it may due to temperature changes causing expansion and contraction.

                  Clawed or de-clawed?

Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.

I am going to be installing this in a basement. I see another question about underlaying where you were unable to recommend a product that would be appropriate. Does that mean you don't recommend this flooring for basements? Is so what would be a good floor product to install? Are there any other peel and insert floors ?

                Thank you,

                  A:

If area gets flooded no, if floor stays reasonably dry yes. For best results substrate must be as flat as possible, grit and dust free.

                  • TRANQUILITY Peel and Stick planks may be installed over existing sheet vinyl floors that are fully and well bonded to the subfloor. NOTE: Cushion, foam-back or perimeter type floors, and VCT floorings are not recommended and should be removed.

•All traces of wax, other surface coatings, or foreign matter must be removed in a way that does not damage the integrity of the existing flooring or hinder a proper bond of the new flooring.

•Heavily embossed floors should be completely removed.
