Q:How many planks to a box? I will be using this product for wainscoting, (sp).
A:There are 36 planks per box (3/8" x 3.97" x 38.5").
Q:Hello, I am going to help my mom install a wood floor. We are thinking about using the horizontal carbonized bamboo. The room is small (about 9x9) and currently has tiles of linoleum that she cannot get off. Is it okay to install over these? If so, should we still lay a vapor barrier directly under the wood? Also, I believe there is plywood under the linoleum. Thank you
A:Unfortunately installing directly over; ASPHALT TILE, VCT VINYL TILES and CUSHION VYNYL is not recommended.
Q:I am looking for a stair nose and threshold, same thickness and color as this flooring.
A:Stair nosing SKU# 10009690, Threshold SKU# 10014180. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:I have a 15ft by 15 ft living room how many boxes do i need?
A:This product question would be better answered by our Sales Department, they are more familiar with all of our flooring products and can better assist you with your questions.
Q:I moved into a home with this flooring and was trying to clean it and polish it, now it looks like it has a film on it. The product I was using was Bona; I've used it on my oak flooring before. How can I get the shine back and not get a residue look?
A:To restore the original shine of a solid hardwood, bamboo, cork, and engineered floor a screen and re-coat may be needed or a complete refinishing. A professional sand and finish expert would have to make the determination on site on which sanding process will be needed or which can be done to restore the floors shine. Not all engineered floors can be refinished because of having a thin veneer layer.
Q:What solution should I use when cleaning the Morning Star bamboo flooring?
A:Bellawood Cleaner. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:How would the Bamboo/Cork flooring hold up in a kitchen?
A:Yes bamboo or cork is a good choice for kitchens but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Like hardwood flooring, spills should be toweled dry promptly. Strand type bamboo is a very hard and dent resistant flooring material and is a good consideration for kitchens because of high traffic. Bellawood and Morning Star Bamboo brand has a quality finish that would be necessary in a high traffic area like a kitchen.
Q:How does the material hold up against a dogs claws. Will it scratch up the finish. Also against accidents.
A:Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
Q:Is this product ok to use for a kitchen?
A:Hardwood, laminate (higher warranty laminate is better in high traffic areas like kitchens), cork, and bamboo is acceptable for installation in a kitchen, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. These floorings are water resistant relative to normal spills but not water-proof. Any soaking spills will destroy any flooring with the exception of ceramic or stone tile. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:Can bamboo flooring be used in a bathroom?
A:Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4 and 5mm click together products that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.
