Now you can get the sophistication and eco-friendliness of Bamboo floors in an easy-to-install product by Schön Engineered Quick Clic prefinished floors with an aluminum oxide-based finish and an extra thick wear layer, these Bamboo floating floors are a snap to install! Schön Engineered Quick Clic bamboo flooring is constructed with a real, thick-sawn bamboo veneer atop a core consisting of layers of plywood. The core layers are precisely stacked with the grain of adjacent plies perpendicular to each other. This construction design provides greater stability as each layer offsets the next to counteract normal movement as the wood responds to the effects of moisture and temperature change. Quick Highlights: About Engineered Flooring: We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.) Want more? Lumber Liquidator$

The installation went as per instructions and the finished floor looks great. Too early to comment about duarbility and ease of cleaning, but this is in a room for occassional use.
Service and delivery comments:
I picked up the materials from the store. About 3 hours after receiving an e-mail to say the flooring was on route to the store, I received a call to say it had arrived and was ready for pick up.

we used this product in the livingroom, hall, and kitchen. it's just beautiful love the coloring. the only thing i've found that i don't like is spotting. we have several animals and where they drop water it will show till you wipe it up. but it is very durable as we have a german short hair and her claws have not marked the floor at all and she runs through the house. i would use this floor again.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 9/16" x 5" Horizontal Natural Bamboo Quick Clic:
Flooring installed in a photo studio. Flooring looks really great on the floor. Flooring is fairly easy to install. After sitting open for 7 days in the area where flooring was to be installed, a lot of the boards were warped. However, they easily bent to lock in the clicks format. Using a "Persuader" with a wood block helped with the final locking of the boards. After installing, no evidence of warping and floor looks fantastic.
The first two rows are difficult because the ends are simply grooved instead of having a click lock. Lack of an end locking joint allows the boards to move until you get to the third row. That is the biggest con to this flooring.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 9/16" x 5" Horizontal Natural Bamboo Quick Clic:
I had never attempted to install any kind of wood floor and the engineered bamboo was outstanding and very easy to install! I did opt to not use butt joints in the field portion of the floor. Instead I used a fine cutting carbode saw blade with 1/8" kurf and made my own tongue and groove ends to match the factory supplied ends. My joints aren't invisible, but barely noticeable. Worth the extra time and effort, I think. I did use a high quality wood glue for end joints, but left all side and end wall spacing and length joints free for expansion. So far, so good. I'll do this again, without hesitation.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This is not overly slippery and has a slight texture.Q:
Can this product be used on a concrete basement floor and is it stranded?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes you can lay floating bamboo flooring in dry basements over flat and level concrete. A 6 to 8 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Overlap seams 4" and tape with duct tape. Overlay perimeter 3-4" up wall. Then lay approved underlayment.Q:

Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application,Q:
Trying to figure out if this product has "tongue and grove" finish on all 4 sides but the product's installation guide confuses me. Here's what it says: "The SCHön Quick Clic floor is designed with a locking system along the side and end edges. However wider boards will not have a locking system on the shorter ends to facilitate installation".1 answer
A:
This 5" wide product will require glue on the end joints as it does not have a mechanical "clic" on the ends of the boards but is a straight tongue & groove.Q:
My installation will be on a concrete floor above a garage (ie. not a basement) ... what kind of underlayment is possible/best??1 answer
