Comments about Dream Home - St. James 12mm Horizontal Natural Bamboo Laminate:
I put this flooring throughout my entire house (minus bathroom and laundry room). It has made it look and feel larger, plus given it a fresh look. I love the floors. The only thing I wish I had done is used the sealer between the boards throughout the whole house and not just in the kitchen. It takes very little time for moisture to seep in and cause warping. So my advice is spend the little bit of extra time and money to do that as it will save you in the end.
Service and delivery comments:
I was working on bringing the 52 cartons home in different loads when my Jeep died. One of the asst. managers lived out in my area and he offered to help out by bringing the rest of the materials to my house as he could. When I offered to pay him for his time and gas he wouldn't accept. That is one man who went above and beyond for the company he works for!
When it was time to install the flooring I used an installer from Lumber Liquidators. These guys were fantastic and they made the process as painless as possible - especially when you consider we were doing the entire house.

Q:
The installer did not put the vapor barrier down in in my guest bedroom. I am in a 1st floor condo on a concrete slab.He has just made it out to the hallway but the question is-would you have him pull the flooring back up and put the barrier down or is it ok since it's a moisture barrier board?1 answer
A:
If this is being installed over concrete and the moisture barrier being used is our 6 mil poly, yes that should have been put down in the bedroom to protect the laminate from potential moisture coming from the slab.Q:
Can this be installed on a basement? Some bamboo floor products I've seen are not for basements.1 answer

I live in a condo with concrete flooring under carpet and foam padding. It is not a basement. Do I need to lay plastic barrier still? If so, I do I attach it to the concrete floor?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
A 6 to 8 mil poly sheeting moisture barrier should be laid for floating floors for an On or Below Grade Concrete subfloor. Overlap seams 4" and tape with duct tape. Overlay perimeter 3-4" up wall.
