How far does the portion of the stair nose extend to cover the laminate planks. I already have and am installing the flooring but the trim was shipped separately, not due to arrive for a few more days.

  This laminate overlap stairnosing is 7/16" thick at the body (13/16" rounded nosing) and 2-3/8" wide. Thank you for writing in.
