Morning Star Click 1/2" x 5" English Toffee Click Strand Bamboo
Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury.
Twice as hard as oak, strand bamboo is an optimal choice for busy homes when durability is needed to stand up to the wear and tear of family foot traffic, active kids and even pets.
To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty.
And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Q:Do all Engineered Wood floors, using the lock/click/floating method, require thresholds between rooms?
A:Yes they do, in order to prevent separation and or buckling of the floating floor.
Q:Hi, we will be putting in about 1000 sq ft of this flooring. Greatroom, dining room, office, and entry. I don't like the idea of thresholds as I want a seamless look. If I read the instructions correctly I don't need a threshold if we glue the flooring down. I also think we won't need an underlayment if it is glued to our subfloor. Is that correct? Finally how much glue is needed for a project this size? Thank you.
Q:Can this go on a concreted floor? Do you need to put a subfloor down?
A:You can find complete installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the installation tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.
Q:If we put this on our entire first, including the kitchen, can we put a protective coat on top in the kitchen area, such as a polyurethane?
A:You could reseal prefinished flooring after it is installed, but this would void the finish warranty on the flooring and create extra expense for you after already buying a new floor with a 20, 30, or 50yr finish warranty. Adding a new finish won't prevent all moisture from going into the seams. Wood will expand and contract with climate changes. If the flooring were to contract later and create seasonal gapping, a spill can cause water to get into the gaps. It is best to only add a new finish when the old finish starts to wear more than you like or if you have a lot of scratches you want covered up. We recommend that you use a professional sand and finish expert if you did decide to add a new finish to the flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:Is this flooring safe with Radiant, and warrantied?
A:Unfortunately not recommended over Radiant heat.
Q:Can this be installed on stairs?
A:Yes you can! We now offer a flush mount stair nosing for this bamboo product.
Q:How well will Jinse bamboo stand up in a kitchen area?
A:Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
Q:Can we install this floor in master bathroom?
A:Bamboo is acceptable for installation in a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage wood. You will need to wipe up any water that sit on the floor as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for bamboo. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge cupping. Resilient and Tile floors are a better choice for these areas. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:Could you tell me the length of the planks? Thank you.
Q:Can strand bamboo be sanded and refinished if necessary? How does it hold up to small to medium size dogs running across it?
A:Yes you can;
