Great Look/Feel. Scratches easy

I install this in our living room and kitchen and plan to install in the rest of the house. The install was pretty easy. Definitely get the laminate tools to insure a tight fit. Small gaps would appear between the planks periodically after a tight fit so that was pretty annoying. After the install the floor looked beautiful. We asked all our guest to take off there shoes to keep the floor nice. However scratches started to appear more and more. Small rocks that people step on cause quite visible whitish marks. Pretty disappointing. Cleaning the floor with solution doesn't help to much. For that reason alone this product get 3/5 stars. Its beautifully scratch prone.

This was installed in my basement. Already has a couple of surface scratches but that's to be expected. Wishing that I had this for my summer cottage! Found the product elsewhere; my store matched the price!! Love Lumber Liquidators!!

We used this with the underlayment to replace carpet in the living and dining areas. Installation instructions for tongue vs groove were not the clearest and it was a bit difficult to lay the first two lines, but after a rocky start, the rest of the installation was quick and smooth. We have had the product on the floor for just a few days; thus far it is very attractive, comfortable to walk on, and doesn't make a clicking sound.

                • Edges Are Brittle

                Best Uses

I purchased this product for several reasons. My primary reason being that my floor was a little uneven in places. The floor joists have either risen or sunk in place causing a few minor dips. This floor, because it's floating, actually disguises the unevenness. Another reason for purchasing it was the installation process. I'm a fairly new DIYer and first time homeowner. This stuff was actually fun to install. You simply score the piece you are wanting to trim/cut with a utility knife and snap it to break. I used a rubber mallet to create a tighter seal. Just be careful you don't tap too hard or repeatedly in the same place, as the connecting edges will break. My final reason for purchasing this was the price point. Definitely beats big box store prices.

I am seriously contemplating doing my whole house in this stuff. It transformed my kitchen!

Easy, easy, easy to install. I never heard the "click" after laying the panels flat, but there's a distinct "click" when each panel seats against the other. Be sure to use the tap block with the rubber mallet on EACH piece the full length of the panel. Then be sure to hammer the finished seam with the rubber mallet the full length too. Went together like a dream and looks like real wood.

We purchased this based on the resilient label and the fact that it would resist moisture. We installed 2 rooms, with 2 more and a foyer to go. The smallest movement of furniture causes a permanent scratch. Something as simple as scooting out a dining chair from a table mars the flooring permanently. Don't waste your money.

The install is great, I left this because I saw some saying things related to tapping together with scrap pieces.

I use to install hardwood and pergo (and tile)

The pergo install kit has spacers ( nice and useful) but the more important is their tapping block and bar. Use carefully but no need for scrap piece and the bar is nice for when you hit a door jam or wall and need to tap in the piece

SO easy to cut and install - our problem was the weird cuts we had to make in a smallish bathroom with a closet! Felt like graduate level work at some points, but now that we've tackled the hardest room first, we are ready to do the rest!! Product worked exactly as expected, but I agree with the other reviewer: the tracks on the side can be fragile. BE CAREFUL when "tapping" in with a piece of scrap and a hammer; make sure track and lock are placed correctly, or groove will crack off and then next piece has nothing to grab. Sometimes working last piece in place within tight spaces was hard - plan to try heating end, as another reviewer mentioned, next time. Also, was worried this shade (Lake Cedar..) would be too dark, but it was PERFECT. Remember that one piece samples can be misleading. Overall, VERY happy with result. Altho replacing the quarter round in the bathroom took as long as laying the floor. Hazards with job though...

Vinyl plank flooring can exhibit shrinking under extreme cold. The manufacturer recommends temperatures between 65-75F.

You can use an unfinished hardwood (preferably quarter/rift sawn) finished with tung or other natural oils as with covered porch flooring. These site finished penetrating sealers expand and contract with the flooring without cracking.

Yes this can be installed over existing vinyl flooring and the Tranquility underlayment is optional.
Depending on the size, weight of the Island and the type of casters you used, perhaps.
Heavy rolling loads can cause separation of the planks.

What do you do, When the floor in the hallway that is pieced together is pealing up in the center, it's like the floor is raising up where it was installed and it's happening in more than one spot, I have two rooms left to do and I am not sure I want to continue, it is also scratching in the hall from the dogs, that does bother me as much as the raised spots, Its the lake forest vinyl plank

"Fixed Objects". We have a bar that is fairly heavy but not attached to anything (e.g. it is not "fixed" from my perspective). Does weight matter? Can we move it out of the way, install the tile then set the bar on top of the tile?

Yes, just be sure you use floor protection (large felt pads) under the moveable bar.
