This product has it all: a 10mm moisture-resistant core PLUS a 2mm pre-glued sound-proofing foam underlay, the feel of real wood grain and a 25 year warranty.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Designed for glue-less laying, and must be laid as a "floating floor".
- Subfloor must be clean, flat, smooth, and level.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of Bellawood Platinum, Bellawood Premium, Quiet Walk or the Eco Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments offer best joint/seam support while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities, these properties are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

Very Nice

By dale

from alabama

I have done my whole home in this laminate,it is one click but make sure its completely together before using the bumper or it will chip,i have very minimal waste and this was the first time ever installing laminate in my life,i had some weird 20 degree angles around the fireplace in the den and it went smooth, the floor looks great in all rooms, the only problem I had was my wife decided every room needed painting, lots better than the carpet that we had,i wouldn't go below 10mm and I also like the preattached pad,i layed over solid double 3/4 plywood floors but I still used a vapor barrier for added protection, well worth the money and the matching quarter round just made it complete

Service and delivery comments:

I bought directly from the Montgomery Alabama store and the staff was excellant

Nice appearance, quality somewhat lacking

By acegeotech

from Barefoot Bay, FL

Love the look of the finished project. I was disappointed in the quality aspect of the laminate in that I found some of the pieces irregular in dimensioning. Checked with calipers and found as much as 3/64" discrepancy.

We picked the laminate for its looks. But it was very hard to install since the locking system didn't work well. I wish I had read some of the other reviews before buying this because I would have bought something else.

    Flooring is beautiful

    By Raq

I had the flooring installed. It's beautifu! It looks like wood flooring and not laminate. Scratches extremely easily though so make sure your furniture has soft pads on feet.

    Love our new floor!

    By Bubs

    from Grand View, Wi

We just installed the toba teak laminate in our kitchen, dining room and our hallway. It changes the whole look of our home! We love it!! My husband, who has never installed this before, and my brother-in-law installed it. It took my husband longer to get the floor ready than the actual installation. I would highly recommend this flooring.

    Service and delivery comments:

We were very pleased with the service at Lumber Liquidators. They had to order it for us and it was in before the 2 weeks waiting period, The employees were very helpful in the Duluth, MN store

    Very Pleased!

    By Thrifty can be Beautiful!

    from Maine

So many people talk about using a rubber mallet to install. My husband and I did not find it necessary. The trick was to gently place the tongue in the groove and slowly slide it back and forth a few times. Then put it up to the last piece installed and push it down to the subfloor. If the board did not lay flat, we would put pressure on the outside edge of the board with our hands and it would generally pop into place.

We are so happy wit the results. We put in expensive Bamboo flooring in our house that we ordered from California (we live in Maine). My husband and I thought that was pretty easy to do and it was our first click and lock floating floor. Well, this laminate was even easier, plus no splinters.

    Beautiful floor but challenging install

    By Logan

    from South Carolina

    Pros

      Cons

      • Difficult Install

      Best Uses

The boards come as 6 per box and the pattern images on the boards are very similar so must take care in laying them out to not get an unwanted pattern. The boards themselves are not easy to set together as it takes a great deal of effort to get them properly locked into place. We spent two days trying to get the floor layed as fist time diy project and it wasn't until a friend of the family who has installed laminate professionally came over and heped that we made any real progress with getting the floor properly locked and layed together. The instructions for the process, which is included in the box, are not very helpful as the product needed to be put together in a specific direction to help with the ease of installation. As for accessories the spacers, a rubber mallet and the tapping bar are a must. You will want to use a jig saw or table saw for areas around air vents and door frames. We had to rip a few boards to fit the final peices into place. I would not recommend this as a diy project for people who have never layed laminate before.

What is AC rating 3 mean?
Asked on 10/8/2015 by jd1955 from Flagstaff, Az

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

            What is an AC rating?
The common term used to denote the durability level of laminate flooring is its, Abrasion Criteria or "AC" rating. AC ratings are an abbreviated representation of a laminate's overlay film resistance to abrasion, impact, stains and cigarette burns. The ratings also indicate that the product has been tested for the effects of furniture legs, castors, and swelling along its edges. When a laminate flooring product has a rating, then it has passed all of the test criteria. Failing just one test will disqualify a product.
The AC rating levels are designated AC1 through AC5. Each is represented by international pictographs reflecting the product's application and durability. The primary application is divided into two groups: residential and commercial. Each group is further divided into traffic intensity levels: moderate, general, or heavy. An AC1 rating which is the lowest should only be used in light-traffic areas. At the other end of the scale is AC5 which is produced for the commercial market and for use in very high-traffic areas. A laminate flooring rating of AC2 or AC3 is found on flooring tailored to the domestic and residential market. As can be seen, Laminate ratings are beneficial to customers for product comparison shopping. If you are tempted by some very cheap laminate flooring, be cautious, you may find that it hasn't received any type of AC rating indicating it failed to meet the minimum requirements. During product testing, if it fails on just one single test, then approval for that laminate flooring rating is denied. For residential use, a rating of AC3 is perfectly adequate. Typically the higher the laminate flooring rating, the higher the price may be. The test devised for abrasion resistance. Thank you for your inquiry.

            Cleaning and Maintenance

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

One picture looks like this was installed in a kitchen. I was told not to install a laminate in a kitchen or bath. I would love to use this in a living room and adjoining kitchen. Since it says "moisture resistant", is this possible?
Asked on 4/3/2014 by debbie from Raton NM

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Yes, laminate is acceptable for installation in a kitchen or a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage wood. You will need to wipe up any water that sit on the floor as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for laminate. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge cupping. Resilient and Tile floors are a better choice for these areas.
