NIRVANA Plus by Dream Home- 10mm Lake Toba Teak Laminate Flooring- 25 Year Warranty

Dream Home's Nirvana line of laminate floors will fill your home with harmonious style.
Nirvana Laminate Flooring StructureThis product has it all: a 10mm moisture-resistant core PLUS a 2mm pre-glued sound-proofing foam underlay, the feel of real wood grain and a 25 year warranty.

Quick Installation Tips:
- Designed for glue-less laying, and must be laid as a "floating floor".
- Subfloor must be clean, flat, smooth, and level.
- Moisture barrier is required for installations over concrete.
- Make sure the panels are mixed sufficiently when you install them so that you do not end up with too many identical, light or dark panels next to each other.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE ADDITIONAL PADDING:
Laminates having pre-attached padding can also be installed over an underlayment. When doing so, Lumber Liquidators recommends the use of our Bellawood Premium underlayment or ECO Silent Sound underlayment. These quality underlayments will best support the joints while ensuring superior thermal sound reduction qualities and are highly recommended for use with condominium associations, project planners and building specifiers.

NIRVANA Flooring Advantages:
- Real wood grain
- No glue and no nails needed
- Easy Click Installation
- Moisture resistant board
- Thickness: 10mm + 2mm pre-glued underlayment
- AC Rating: 3
- 25 Year Warranty

Can be a bit tricky getting the pieces to fit together. Two of us installed this and it worked best with the other guy pulling the one end of the piece in while I did the same, otherwise sometimes one end wouldn't "catch". Once you figure it out, though, it goes quickly.

Love this flooring! Love the range of colors & tones, so easy to clean and keep clean. Will never go back to carpet. Only trouble: doorway pieces along one door not tacked down adequately, & we will need to do that ourselves--been hesitant to do so, but...easily caught and loosened.Apart from that one item, Buckeye Flooring crew did a great job!! Nice guys, too!

This flooring is great, very durable and looks great. I purchased this for the apartment in my home so I was looking for something that was going to last. Before I bought this floor I put it through every test possible, soaked in water dropped boulders on it and tried to scratch it, but it held up beautifully!!! It was fairly simple to install and didn't have any problems with chipped pieces coming out of the box. I would definitely recommend, actually I am going back to purchase another 1000 sq for my part of the house.

                    Best Uses

This floor looks nice but if you look at the room in light there are many imperfections along edges. Boards are already lifting even though they were locked together. Long and short edges of boards crack easily. There was a LOT of waste due to defective boards/edges. We have a floor from another store in another house and it has lasted many years and has taken lots of abuse from little kids. We could steam mop it and clean like real hardwood and it was resilient. I'm afraid to clean this floor since some boards are barely seamed together and appear they will soak up liquids and warp. We spent thousands of dollars on 1200ft this floor and installed in living room, playroom, bedroom, and 2 hallways. Unfortunately, if it's been in for about 10 days and the seams are already lifting, it will not last. We wish we went with something else. It'd have been worth the price difference for hardwood since we will have to do it over again in the near term. Note: The floor was professionally installed.

This replaced some old, light colored laminate and absolutely transformed my home. The difference in the way the furniture looks and the whole image it presents makes me wonder why I didn't do this earlier. I could not be more pleased. Lumber Liquidators and the installation crew worked together and made my home look great.

                      • Entire first floor

I purchased this product a year ago. DIY install and I have never installed flooring before. I have minimal construction experience. The install was fairly easy overall. I SERIOUSLY recommend buying or renting a small miter saw, small table saw, and jigsaw. I did the entire install with a circular saw and a jigsaw and that was a pain. I put this in a 1944 build, with a remodeled layout. PLEASE make sure your floor is level. I have one spot between the kitchen and living room that is not perfect and I plan on pulling the flooring from the kitchen to fix the issue. Overall this product has exceeded my expectations. I have two dogs, one pitbull that runs around like a beast. I deep cleaned the floors this week and there are no noticeable scratches after an entire year of playing tug of war in the living room with my pitbull. The variation in the color keeps them looking clean even when they're a little dirty. Hope this review helps!

would this flooring work next to roman umber 5mm click in an open floor plan? Would the coloring compliment each floor or clash? also would the different thicknesses make a tripping hazard?

One picture looks like this was installed in a kitchen. I was told not to install a laminate in a kitchen or bath. I would love to use this in a living room and adjoining kitchen. Since it says "moisture resistant", is this possible?

                          A:

Yes, laminate is acceptable for installation in a kitchen or a powder room. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage wood. You will need to wipe up any water that sit on the floor as soon as possible. However a full bathroom that is showered in everyday may not be the best location for laminate. Often there is too much water on the floor or humidity that can be absorbed into the flooring resulting in board edge cupping. Resilient and Tile floors are a better choice for these areas. I want to lay this on top of a linoleum floor which sit on a concrete slab. Will this provide a little more warmth to the floor than is there now (which is none)? What would be the best option for this? Is there a thicker pad that would be better for warmth? Thanks!!

                          A:

This product has a 2mm pre-glued sound-proofing foam underlay and will be warmer than your existing vinyl directly on the slab.

Carpet and pad must always be removed. Carpet is not dense enough to support the locking system. Which will cause the floor to separate. Thank you for your inquiry

                          A:

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

                          A:

Our wood floors are manufactured for maximum durability, easy maintenance and finished with a high quality aluminum oxide water base urethane UV cured finish. This step protects the wood and helps keep the flooring looking beautiful longer. While highly durable, the finish is NOT considered indestructible. However, by observing a few precautions like setting up a regular cleaning routine and simple maintenance program to protect the finish, you can expect years of performance and beauty from your wood floor. All wood floors can show signs of wear over time. There are many factors that can affect the amount of wear. These include the size and lifestyle of your family and product location.
                          The following cleaning principles are recommended for all of our products -Hardwood, Laminates, Corks, Bamboo and other Exotics. Outlined are examples of the reasonable and necessary maintenance to be performed; this is only intended to be a basic list;
                          • Immediately after installation, be certain that the flooring is completely cleaned and dry as described below. If you must protect the flooring from traffic, use only “craft” paper, brown, red or white, this will allow the flooring to “breathe”. Do not fully cover the flooring. NEVER lay plastic of any kind or any other non-porous material over the flooring as this can trap moisture, harm the flooring or fade the finish.
                          • Sweep or vacuum regularly, since built-up dirt, grit and sand can damage the surface of the wood. If using a vacuum, use a soft brush attachment -NOT A BEATER BAR ATTACHMENT. Be certain the wheels of the vacuum are clean and do not damage the finish. When using a broom be certain that bristles are soft. You can also use a dry mop.
                          • Because of the myriad of cleaning products available and methods of each application, Lumber Liquidators cannot endorse or oversee the use of any Brand Name of floor cleaner. We do recommend cleaning products safe for urethane finishes such as our Bellawood floor cleaner.
                          • The use of a changeable terry cloth type system to clean the floor is highly recommended; apply cleaning solution to the terry cloth not the floor.
                          • NEVER use oil soaps, liquid, or paste wax products or other household cleaners that contain lemon oil, Tung oil, silicone, or ammonia on pre-finished flooring. The use of these products will harm the long-term performance and appearance of your floor and may affect future re-coating. (Damages caused by non-recommended cleaning products are not covered by warranties). NOTE: This also includes the use of vinegar and water solutions as water can damage wood. Vinegar is an acidic element that can have an oxidizing, caustic effect on the finish.
                          • In an effort to clean hardwood floors, many have experimented with a variety of cleaners on the market and end up with a new problem. “How to remove the build-up of cleaning products revealing the original surface"? If this is the case with you, we recommend consulting with a professional cleaner local to your area because they can best see the details involved and make the most accurate recommendations. If you choose to remove the layers of build-up yourself, use cotton rags instead of a mop to control the amount of liquid used.
                          • NEVER wet-mop, damp-mop, swab or flood your floor with water or any other product. Moisture can seep into the seams causing edge-cupping damage. Urethane floors do not require wet mopping. Natural floors are water resistant, not water proof. Remove all spills promptly using a soft, slightly damp cloth
                          • STEAM CLEANERS OR WET-JET swiffer; Lumber Liquidators does not recommend "Water brooms" "Wet-Jet Swiffers or steamer type cleaners on laminates, corks or hardwood floors. Although steamers may work well cleaning OTHER types of hard surface flooring, the 130° to 240° heated steam vapor can ruin wood or urethane finish resulting in warped or cupped flooring. Water and wood do not mix well, especially steam. Use these products at your own risk.
                          • Do place protective mats at entry doors to keep dirt, grit, sand and moisture from being track in from the outside.
                          • Do use area rugs in heavily traveled areas and pivot points (e.g., stair landings, room entries, etc.), especially if you have a large family or indoor pets.
                          • When using area rugs, use a rug pad with a felt, plant or PVC based backing. DO NOT use area rugs with a petroleum based rubber backing (typically black) as this can cause permanent chemical staining/etching of the floor finish.
                          • Take reasonable precautions; use a dolly and protective sheets of plywood when moving heavy objects such as furniture and appliances.
                          • Place protective pads beneath furniture legs and feet to reduce scratches and dents. Check and replace wore pads regularly.
                          • Keep pet’s nails trimmed, and paws clean and free of dirt, gravel, grease, oil, and stains.
                          • Scratches, dents and cupping are site related, not considered a manufactured defect.
