    i used lamintor plus on my brand new laminate floor has just left a resadue and dullness, what is best to clean your floor and especially to get this off my floor. Do not use this product

      A:

      We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. The use of these products is at your own risk.
      I would recommend contacting the Laminator Plus company for safe removal steps.

      A:

      For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.

      In addition, Bona Kemi makes a decent hardwood flooring cleaner.

      Do not use oil-type cleaner of any kind.

    Chicken broth (which if full of protein) spilled
    on my laminate and stayed on it for two hours.
    When trying to clean it up, it smeared and there's
    still a greasy residue. I read somewhere that
    mineral spirits could be used? Perhaps followed
    by the cleaner solution? Suggestions?

      I would use a disinfectant wipe such as Clorox and buff dry (never get your floor too wet).

In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

      A:

      Our Bellawood floor cleaner does not contain any polishes ,wax or anything that will build on the surface and is recommended to be used on all our flooring products. I do hear of this scenario often enough and it always prooves out that there was another cleaning product used previously on the floor that is reacting to the Bellawood cleaner. Most likely once the residue is removed from the original factory finish the floor can be maintained easily. Thank you for your inquiry.

    I have been steam cleaning my laminate wood floor. The flooring is becoming a like a sheet of ice and our rubber soled shoes squeak loudly. Is the Bellawood laminate floor cleaner enough to solve this problem?

      Not sure what has happened to the laminate as a result of using the steam cleaner so it is hard to say for sure.
      We do not recommend steam mops or Roomba Scooba robots on our laminates or on any of our wood floor products. Although appropriate for kitchen sheet vinyl or ceramic tiles, wood, laminate and cork floorings have raw seam edges that can swell or cup with use of these cleaning methods. We recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Thank you for your inquiry
