Comments about Dream Home Laminate Installation Kit:

Used to install approximately 600 sqft of solid wood floor. Worked effectively without marring wood finish. Only complaint is that it only comes with 20 spacers. For large rooms with 20'+ long walls, need double the spacers provided.

Comments about Dream Home Laminate Installation Kit:

Buy wood and cut your own filler strips for around the walls. The plastic fillers that this kit comes with shift around, causing the floor to shift. Once we removed them and replaced them with wood, flooring went in much easier.

Comments about Dream Home Laminate Installation Kit:

The kit helps a first time installer, but it can be eliminated by using a small piece of the floor turned up on its end to space the flooring from the wall and another small piece of the flooring to use as a hammering block. It made the installation easier but it can be installed without this if you really need to save money.

Comments about Dream Home Laminate Installation Kit:

This kit was very useful in the installation of our laminate floor. The block is the best and most useful piece in the kit. It has a groove that fit perfectly on our boards so as to not damage the tongue and groove of the board. The bar needs to be used very carefully so not to damage the edge of the laminate, this may not be an issue with solid wood floor boards. The spacers were a little tricky to do what we wanted them to do since you need to use at least two together to get the gap you really need. we were tempted to glue them together.
One bad side about this product: the pieces can not be bought separately. about 1/2 way through 1 of the 2 rooms our block cracked and caused some damage to our boards. We were then at a standstill till the next day till we could get another one. We did look at our local bigbox store but it did not have the groove that this one has to steady it on the board.

I installed Nirvana laminate flooring. I bought your companies cleaner and application mop. I have 1800+ sq. ft. to clean. It is very demanding covering that much area when you are 70 yrs. old. I also use a professional dry mop to dust the floors daily. Can you recommend an easier way of cleaning it?

                        A:

You are doing the right thing, however the cleaner is only necessary about once or twice a month.

For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.
