Wonderful floor, softer wood than others, it's maple. I have it in my whole downstairs, and just love it!

This was time consuming but fairly easy to install for an avid do it your selfer. Floor started showing scratches before it was completely installed, the finish has held up good, but it's more like the wood it's self is gouged, the wood it's self is soft. You can see where furniture was sitting and lines where furniture has been moved. I have a 40lb dog and her claws have also gouged the floor. Don't waste you money.

A:
Wood floors like furniture will scratch and dent if not properly protected. It is recommended to use felt furniture pads under the furniture legs. Often scratches can be adequately repaired using liquid scratch covers. Dents and nicks can be filled using wood floor repair kits available at your local home store. If your floor is severely damaged please consult a professional about refinishing or an individual board replacement may be all that’s needed. Scuffs can often be removed by rubbing the spot with mineral spirits on a cloth rag.Q:

I have a Bellawood floor that holds up extremely well to our Hound Mix and Boxer. Not to mention nieces, nephews, and work shoes. Excellent finish. Harder floors like hickory or exotic will dent less easily. 3/4" hardwood can also be refinished several times. Light colors will hide scratches. Remember nothing is scratch proof but some do better than others.Q:
